I came here on a Tuesday with friends and we ordered 50 Wingerz (20 garlic parmesan , 20 honey bbq, and 10 nuclear) with fries and onion rings which came out to be around $60 bucks. Not the best deal on wings but still pretty decent. The garlic parmesan was pretty on point; crispy with a good amount of garlic and parmesan covering each wing. The honey bbq was probably my least favorite because it was drenched in the bbq sauce which made the wings soggy and the bbq sauce had a slight sour zing to it; not what I was expecting from a honey bbq sauce. The nuclear wings were also a bit of a let down because I expected them to be spicy and not taste like ketchup with cayenne pepper. Service was a bit lack luster but I don't hold it against them because it was kind of a lines out the door night for them. This lead to us receiving our fries and onion rings about 10 minutes after getting our wings. The staff apologized and brought them out to our table which was nice considering the norm is customers go pick up food from the counter. Overall I do like this place and would honestly give it 3.5 stars however since there are no half star ratings I gave them a 4 star bump because they did try to correct their mistakes. Tips: Make sure to come early Tuesday (85 cent wing day) to guarantee seats for yourselves. Place gets packed especially if there is a game on.

I had been craving the gilroy garlic chicken sandwich, so stopped by on my way to class to pick one up. I had arrived right before the Niners game was about to start, so seats filled up fast. I liked how they had bar seating, table top seating, and booths, with TV's in every area imagineable. I would say the service could be picked up a knotch here, it seems like the kids working here would rather not be working, so that was a bit irritating. I ordered, got my buzzer, and got my food. Fries are average, and they would've charged for my side of ranch, but the cashier I got rung up by had told me it come with it so they gave it to me free of charge. The chicken sandwich came on a hoagie roll, and TONS of oozing cheese. AMAZING! After half I was more than full, and got a to go box for the other. Sandwich is still good, but their employees could use some customer service training.

Piss poor customer service. On the receipt the name was Joshua Clary. He's the skinny African American waiter. He was an asshole and rude.

Loved the service & food! Chicken Tenders are huge!! Yummy sauces, BBQ, Honey Siracha! The beer flight was awesome: Wahoo, Hoparillo, Hopacalypse, Black Stout.

On a Sunday AFTERNOOOOOOON here is crackin! Awesome place to watch some American football! There are good TV's and a lot of games played at this location. There also is a good selection of beers here. The people have been nice the times I have been here on sunday! Of course the wings are delicious! I would definitely recommend this location to watch football on sunday! Good place to watch a niners game too! I would suggest going to the niner tailgate then coming here to enjoy the game, so you don't pay so much money for tickets at the new stadium! GO Bay area sports!

Love wings, so I had to try this place out especially since it is right across AMC 20. Ordered the Thai Zing and Mango Habanero with garlic fries. Thai Zing probably had the best actual flavor. Wasn't even close to spicy, but had more of a sweet taste which went really well over the wings. Mango Habanero on the other hand, tasted more like regular Buffalo wings which was a disappointment considering I spent nearly $12 fu%king bucks on this combo. It actually tasted just like the buffalo wings you heat up from the frozen section from a grocery store. The actual wings on both though, did not really have a good crunch to it as I would like. Some places, even if the wings are covered in sauce, I am still able to get a nice crispy, crunch to it. But not here. Garlic fries were literally drowning in grease, which even for me was a lot. Still tasted good and somewhat crispy, even though they probably could have left it hang a little longer from the fryer to get rid of more dripping grease. Overall, this place is OK if you are in the mood to grab some quick grub after a movie, and not mind the mediocre wings or greasy ass fries.

Service sucks. Period. Out of the 20 times I've been here, service has been consistently bad. The cashier, who has burgundy hair, is just a stinker with a bad look on her face. Didn't greet us, didn't say hi. NOTHING. Two starts because food is usually good. Sometimes they don't coat the wings right with the sauce but that's only sometimes. The service really gives it no starts. Get better staff please.

Killer ambiance with reggae but the a-hole kids who work here ruined the experience. I'm pregnant and came in hungry. They took our order and we waited for 15 minutes. Then we saw our food come to the window...where it sat for 5 minutes while the three college aged workers hung around flirting, chatting, and checking out chicks at the restaurant. They finally buzzed us and my ranch is missing. The guys informs me its an extra charge, not realizing I paid for three. It's drama to get ranch. Then I sit down and check out my sandwich, it's the wrong one. Ordered BBQ chicken and I got something else chicken. Sent it back and waited another 15 minutes. Still waiting...and starving. Husband is done with his meal. No apology. Never coming back.

Very disappointing. First asked to do challenge. They said no they couldn't because they were too busy. the place was half empty. Then she asked the manager and told us they were out of the sauce and we would have to come back the next day if we wanted to do it. So we order regular wings. Showed up OK and tasted good. But don't bother asking for anything like plates or wet wipes. Asked for plates, they gave us enough for half the party. Asked again, and got bowls. Then wet naps, they gave us 2 for a party of 10 people. Guess the 2 cents per wet nap was a little too much for them since we only spent $130 there.

I wanted to like this place because its so close to home, but after giving it a couple shots, I've decided that the only reason I would come back to this place is for the beer. No complaints about the service; the service is just fine. The wings though.....where do I start.....they are truly subpar compared to other wing places. Wing Stop craps on this place all day as far as I'm concerned. The wings here are overly sauced in heavily ketchup-like based sauces that are typically more sweet than spicy. Here's a breakdown of the ones we've tried: -Atomic: super saucy, ketchupy based sauce, sweet w/ not enough heat, not like traditional buffalo wings. More like BBQ wings with a little heat. -Garlic parmesan: all parmesan, no garlic flavor...Wing Stop's is definitely better. -Honey Sriracha: all honey, no sriracha, too sweet & not enough heat. -Fiery garlic: suuuper saucy (which made them soggy), sauce was spicier than rest, but flavor was mediocre at best. -Thai Zing: meh. All this is is fried chicken with sweet thai chilli sauce. Again, too sweet, no heat. Although this place misses the mark when it comes to good quality, tasty wings, they do have a HUGE selection of cold beers on tap. Good place to have a beer, though seating can be very limited.

Probably the worst chicken wings I have ever eaten. I did not really expect them to be good but I could not believe how bad they were. The wings were swimming on a huge amount of incredibly sweet source. Just not good. The place was also particularly dirty. Will never come again

Stay away! I have never given a 1 star rating before. Absolutely disgusting. Everything about this place is horrible. We ordered wings from here for the NFL draft and what a mistake! The draft party was basically ruined. The wings for one thing were breaded. And then basically drenched in horrible sauces. We got 5 different sauces - so you think one would be decent. Nope. I think the breading gives all the sauces a horrible horrible taste. I don't know how they stay in business. I had to stop eating and write this review because it was so bad. Basically we threw about 50 bucks down the drain. The dipping sauces that come with it? Also horrible. Watered down and basically taste like water. Not creamy and delicious but thin and tasteless. Garlic fries should be good right? Nope. Literally, they are normal fries with some minced garlic thrown on top. This is the most disgusting place I have been in a long time. Stay away from this like the plague. Not paid to write this. It makes Buffalo Wild Wings look like gourmet - and that is saying a lot about how horrible this place really is.

Disappointing experience. We came in on a Sunday and there was less than 15 people in the restaurant. Not only did they get our order wrong, it took them 20 minutes to make chicken tenders that tasted terrible, this is a chicken spot, how can you not make chicken right when that's your specialty... they didn't read the ticket and tried to charge us for extra sauce that we already paid for, no apology for the wrong order, no remorse, just the d-bag behind the counter who handles food coming back from a cigarette break looking at us like we fucked up. I get that people in food service have to deal with a lot of crap, but own up to mistakes and realize that your patrons are the ones that keep you in business. To sum it up, go anywhere else, the staff and food are garbage

  • Melissa G.

Yes! My second Tuesday going here because its half off wings .. HOLLER for that Atomic Sauce! lol. So glad they decided to make one in this area. The atomic , nuclear sauces are the only ones I have since the others are too hot and not enjoyable. I only come here for wings and chicken tenders because y?.. Its SmokeEaters duh! Not to mention the numerous amount of beers on tap and Tv's everywhere which is really nice too. The only thing I do wish is the seating. They should have made this place just a lil larger due to the movie goers right next. Other than that, This is my weekly ritual on Tuesdays :)

4 stars just for the onion rings I came here to eat before my movie meetup the other day and I was kind of in a hurry, but the guy at the counter who eventually took my order doesn't care about making people wait in line. He was this guy in his 20's with dark skin and both arms were covered in black tattoos. He was also wearing a black beanie with a sports logo on it. He also had long dreadlocks. Well, this rude idiot kept on talking to one of his co-workers for at least five minutes while totally ignoring me. There were lots of people in line and there was another register open that was moving twice as fast. I should've moved to that line instead! I noticed that no one else was behind me as they could see what a asshole he was being! I should've said something, but I didn't. When I finally got my food, he didn't even bother giving me a tray. I had to ask for one. Also, the employees there are lazy it seems like since there were a few dirty tables both inside and outside the place. The place was packed, so I sat outside. I ordered 5 wings with the garlic parmesan sauce and some onion rings. They don't do substitutions for the onion rings btw since it comes in it's own basket. OK, whatever. That's what the rude and lazy guy said. Anyways, the onion rings were good. The wings were way to greasy though. The ratio of skin to actual meat is way off. It was so gross that I had to peel off most of the skin. I don't think that I'll be coming back there again.

Gets crowded really easily, so plan for wait times and tables. Great sports bar location for drinks and lots of good food!! Thought 3 tenders wpuldnt be enough and ordered 6... big mistake, 3 will fill you just fine!! Chicken caesar salad is ehh decent. Not sure if it was worth the 7.50$ but it could have had more chicken. Other than that, beers are great, tvs are running, good sports to watch and nice place to relax for lunch!

  • Christy L.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Half of the place has regular tables/chairs while the other half has bar tables. You'll need to order at the counter, get a buzzer, and wait for your food. You'll need to get there early during lunchtime or you might be challenged in getting a seat. Since it was so busy, my friend stood in line and ordered while I was on the lookout for a table. Realized you can't be shy if you want to sit at a table - I ended up asking a guy if I could share a table since it had seats for six, and he was just taking up one seat. Good way to make friends, right? ;) The wings were decent but nothing super special. Probably would be good with the beers you can order, but I don't drink beer so can't really comment on that. Expect to lick your fingers (or use a napkin) a lot! There's lots of TV screens so I'm sure it would be great for sports watching.

New spot in the hood so we had to peep it out. It was pretty busy and there were lots of kids and babies which was good to know (as well as a bar) - even better. The set up is a bit off: walk through a bunch of tables and then find a table to eat. The tables you walk through are shorter tables and the ones around the divider are more bar tables. What we swallowed: GARLIC FRIES: There was no garlic, just sprinkles of oregano, sitting in a small metal tub with nothing to sop up the grease so mid-way down was just a bunch of greasey fries sitting in grease. Ick. yelp.com/biz_photos/smok… We ordered the following flavors: THAI SPICE yelp.com/biz_photos/smok… MANGO HABANERO yelp.com/biz_photos/smok… DEATH (less heat) and INFERNO (more heat): (from the left side of the menu-same flavors but just different degrees of heat). yelp.com/biz_photos/smok… All was lovely in the hood and we were sampling our wings when I decided to go for what I THOUGHT was Death (which I ordered, and the plate was marked). After one swallow I realized, the plates had gotten separated and I grabbed from the wrong plate... my mouth had gone numb and my ears started to tear.. WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! I WAS EATING INFERNO!!! WHY DON"T THEY MARK THE DAMN PLATES?!?!?! So after trying to calm my taste buds down, I would say that the Thai Spice is much like the Chinese Chili Sauce that you get out of the bottle and the Mango Habanero tasted almost like a smokey-muted mustard with a bit of heat. The manager came by and asked if everything was OK. (Didn't he see me sweating? DID IT LOOK LIKE I WAS OK?!?!) I told him that anything that was ordered from the left side of the menu (the degrees of heat menu), ALL plates should be labeled. Not just one.. 'cuz in our case, the plates got separated so I wasn't sure which one was which and I grabbed from the wrong plate (ie. the kick-my-@ss plate) and I didn't have quite a pleasant experience. Let's hope he took that feedback to heart. Glad that there is another food option in the plaza but the wings are just decent and the flavors didn't "WOW" me.

Sheesh, why all the low low reviews? I hope those Yelpers didn't come when it was brand new, bash it for not having the kinks worked out and then not think another thought on it... hmmm. Anyway, I was here earlier with my 2-year old boy. He wanted to go in because the walls were lined with things that he loves... football helmets, a basketball hoop, fireman stuff, etc. Well, even though he'd just eaten, he wanted some chicken. I ordered up the kids nuggets and a 5-piece wing (sauce on the side) and when it arrived, chowed down with my son. He wasn't hungry but still ate a few nuggets. They were shaped like dinosaurs and not real chicken but, he liked them. My wings were just what I expected. The fries seemed normal but I couldn't seem to stop eating them so they must have been good. I like it when they leave the skin on. So, the fun environment and the super nice girl at the counter, Summer, shoot this from a 3-star to a 4-star experience. I have a feeling my lil guy will want to go back, too. Might see ya there!

I am a big wing person and I've always been a BWW fan (ASIAN ZING & GARLIC PARMESAN FTW). My boyfriend RAVED about how amazing this place was when he tried it before so I decided to give it a go. This was the second time I came since the first time I didn't really eat much so I didn't want to give it a review. However my rating stands at it was okay because everything was literally okay. We tried the staples of regular buffalo, bbq, lemon pepper, and garlic parmesan. Nothing was completely mind blowing and nothing was spit out disgusting. The one downer though was the garlic parmesan wings because there wasn't a sauce, it was deep friend and then sprinkled with garlic and( I'm assuming) some sort garlic salt. It was pretty salty too. Everything else wasn't memorable but I do appreciate their wings being larger than other places. Which in turn explains my 3 star a-ok rating. It can get crowded during certain sport events so take that in consideration. They have a variety of beer which is also great. A good place to chill with friends over beer and wings. Will I come here again? Yes. Do I recommend? Yes because YOU might actually love it. Parking: LOT shared with a bunch of other places Accepts credit cards Limited Seating- First come first serve (come early if larger party)

Great beer and bomb ass wings! What else could you ask for? This location is very close to home and has been very consistent every time I've gone. Customer service can be a little better but overall the food speaks for itself. check it out yourself!!!

Food is typically good. Service always sucks the 3 times we've gone. Today was especially annoying. We paid for ranch and we were only given a credit card receipt. We were given 10 wings with no sauce. Me being 9 months pregnant my loving husband went to get the sauce for us, the girl was completely rude and told him he had to pay he advised we did. She then told him to prove it. He told me and asked for the receipt. My hormonal self was like, no let me go. Showed her we only have the credit card receipt why would we lie. She goes to the kitchen tells them to hand her the ranch and she rudely puts her fingers to her head as if it were a gun. I say that was completely rude, and she just rolls her eyes. When we begin to eat we find their copy of the receipt under the food and I take it and hand it to her, say here since you don't believe us over a simple dipping sauce. This place is seriously ran by immature adolescents.

I am reviewing the garlic fries. The cashier told me they would be really good. He lied. They came out soggy and full of dissapointment. It tasted like garlic fries but it also tasted like unfufilled cravings. Damn.

Came here on Tuesday wing night ($0.69/per). Wings were pretty small and very dry. Don't get garlic parmesan. The sauce was essentially some vegetable oil/drawn butter emulsified with a tiny bit of parmesan and garlic. You can't taste either in the sauce. Very oily and not worth the calories. My husband got a burger. I took a bite and it was good, just like any other burger. Won't be getting wings here again. Other guests looked like they were having fun watching the games though.

Not sure what the bad reviews are about... I come here about once a week and I have never experienced anything but excellent service. Staff & environment are always friendly and upbeat. Not to mention wings are on point!

    (5)
  • Mike G.

Food was very good, but the service was horrible! No one cleaned up the tables and their were plenty of workers just hanging out watching the game but not working. I will not be back, even though I truly enjoyed the food.

Where to begin, first of all they hand you a huge massive menu to look over when you walk in the door - so you order at the counter not at the table like most other restaurants. My friend and I both order our meals - and I so happened to order a beer sampler - I am a bit of a beer snob and when the bartender asked me for my beers I told her - nothing super random but they did have the La Folie on tap and if you know anything about me and my beer love, sours are a fave of mine. Well this "bartender" then said oh yes, the "cider stout" I looked at her and said, no its a sour not a cider and its defiantly not a stout. She didn't like that a random stranger called her out on being an idiotic bartender, not my problem - educate yourself on beer if you plan on serving over 20 on tap.... pretty simple concept if I do say so myself. So, my friend and I bother order way too much food - our food starts coming out little by little, and as its all arrived my friend and I notice the cooks in the back holding up their phones on the counter and looking through the screen - I then proceed to give them the FINGER which shocks them both they look up at us freaked out because they had been caught trying to take pictures of customers. I mention this to our oh so wonderful "bartender" who goes in the back, and very rudely comes back to say that my friend and I are wrong that it was a "snapchat" now if you know anything about anything on "snapchat" you know that your video and your pics aren't saved to your phone, so how did she know it was just a "snapchat" and what it was of? Well she didn't, she wanted to give us more attitude then we deserved and side with her un-ethical employees. After all this happened, she refused to ask us how we were doing - if we wanted more beer - if we needed boxes etc. The entire time, she would go in the back and through the window her and the cooks would continue to have conversations that included them glaring our way again. The food, not that great - the service obviously HORRIBLE, and even worse the sanitary conditions of their employee's just takes the prize - you're allowing your employees play with their phones while working, now granted that's great - if they washed their hands but I didn't see them leave their little window section, and I sure as heck didn't hear any water running. Your phone is one of the most germ filled items you hold, and use on a regular basis - there have been studies - google it!! Clean it up Smoke Eaters - hire some knowledgeable people that want to work and aren't bitter at the world who choose to defend employees that are beyond despicable and immature.

This was a fun restaurant and a good find. 10pm and we (group of 17) just came from an event in the area and not knowing where to go, thank you, Yelp! The food was good, I had the pork sliders (really delicious) with sweet potato fries (not as hot as I would have liked). Servers were nice, clean bathrooms, although one was closed. Nice bar ambiance, I would def come back.

I hate giving reviews like this but I have to say please do not order tri-tip sandwiches it's dry you have to pay extra for barbecue. Just for that to try and buy extra to make their food taste great not coming out of the kitchen, I do not recommend that. As far as their salad I give that a one star other than that I would give them negative stars. The staff is great and so is the environment, just wish the food was better.

This place is okay. My friend brought me here for my first time a while ago and i had high expectations. I personally would prefer going to buffalo wild wings. The service was okay, but i like the environment. Lots of sport games on the multiple tvs they have. And their bar selection is wonderful!

This place is OK, it is not the best, but we have few wing places around, and this is the best of them. The chicken tenders are full chicken breasts, not little strips. The first time we went we ordered a bunch and ended up with a mound of chicken. They put a lot of sauce on the chicken, if you don't want it completely smothered order with the sauce on the side.

I love their wings here!! My personal preference is traditional death or 4 alarm, I've tried inferno this past weekend and the wings were so dark and so spicy! I love how they have such a wide selection of beer! how can you go wrong with wings and beer?! This place has the tastiest spicy wings in town! I've also tried their curly fries and garlic fries. The curly fries are good, crunchy and well seasoned, but i think the garlic fries can use a little more flavor and maybe more garlic! Mozzarella sticks can use a little more mozzarella cheese in them but they were still nice and crunchy. Beware when there is a game on, this place gets very, VERY packed!! The also have a little outside patio which is nice and quiet.

This review is for this location only. I generally love smoke eaters and would give the food a 4 stars hands down. The atomic and azn sauce is bomb and them cheese fries are off the hook. BUT this is my experience at this location... so ordered like 25 wings and got a order of small and large cheese fries. After ordering I waited about 30 mins for my food to come out... why? Cuz they didn't buzz my buzzer... so basically my food was out on the counter for I'm guessing around 15 mins? That is not the business man. The story goes on... I get home I'm eating my cheese fries with some homies and the one of em bites into something that looks like cheese but ain't cheese. Lo and behold it was a plastic cap that you put on the small sauce containers... it was melter into the cheese in our cheese fries. Called em up and got a new order but seriously man... y'all should have paid for the entire order, unbelievable.

I have visited this specific location about 3 times and have had mixed feelings every time. First time, food was great. Second time, sandwich was decent and I enjoyed their wide variety of beer. The last time I went, I ordered wings and they were cold for some reason. I immediately lost my appetite and couldn't finish the new order they replaced for me. Hopefully they don't ever do that again.

It took over an hour to get my order. 4 to 5 people ordering AFTER got their food. I was late for my meeting at work, wife was hangry, ruined my entire day... In the end, no sorry, thanks for waiting, etc..etc.. It's too bad because I actually thought their wings are good...but unfortunately, I had to shove it down my throat so that I am not super late...try that with their nuclear sauce..Terrible day!

Second trip here, the wings are average. They lack a certain 'zing', but who cares about that when you're craving wings! Go there in groups, preferably when a game is on. Good bar food and make sure you get the Allagash White beer (tap). You'll love it if you like light, fruity and refreshing beers. The mango habanero wings are not nearly as spicy as BWW. The service is quick and this place has a nice small-town sports-bar feel to it (I've lived in Milwaukee, I know how such bars feel like)! The staff is friendly. All this earns them a 4-start rating. Good place to hang out after watching a sports-flick @ AMC with a group of friends.

It's nice having a chicken wing place like smoke eaters near by. But, I must say, the chicken wings I had here were NOT satisfying. Food came out pretty fast even though it was pretty packed around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday. The wings are HORRIBLE! It's like they bought frozen Costco wings & put extra sauce on them...they put TOO much sauce and didn't even toss the wings around well enough to cover all of the chicken. Taste was bland. BUFFALO WILD WINGS IS WAYYYYYY BETTER!!! I went with friends & ordered about 8 baskets of 5 wings in each basket. We get 3 small containers of ranch and I go ask a server for 1 more. He says it's $.50 each. And you only get 1 for free the 1st time. I said I didn't get one for myself. He said "I hooked you guys up already." Are you serious?? With 8 baskets of chicken & only 3 small containers of ranch???!!! So my friend asked a different server & he gave her 3 extra containers!!! Overall, don't come here for the chicken wings. The bar area and beers are cool though. That's about it.

Worst service ever. Never going to this location. Jg Watson was nothing but rude. Bad attitude very obvious that he didn't want to be there. Get rid of this guy before things get worst or get him some happy juice. I would go out of my way to the de Anza location just for decent service. Stay away!

I somewhat like to consider myself a snob when it comes to wings which sounds like such a strange thing to say, but everywhere I go, if they have wings I order them. so my friends brought me to SmokeEaters and I was beyond excited to try them out. I have to admit I'm only a fan of boneless wings which regretfully SmokeEaters does not have, so instead I order the 3 chicken tenders with buffalo sauce and its like eating 3 large wings. The sauce is amazing. My mouth is watering thinking about their sauce. And their chicken is fantastic quality. I've also tried their fries and onion rings, all of which have great flavors and textures. Honestly, I was about to give this place 5 stars until I remembered how awful the customer service has been every. single. time. No one smiles, no one greets you, nothing. I've even given the girls compliments about their hair or nails or something to see if I can get a smile out of them and there is just nothing. Every person I've ever encountered their just looks like they hate their lives and hate their jobs. I understand that working in a place like this may not be the most ideal place, but be thankful you work somewhere and greet the customer like you're happy to be making money just standing there like you are. Their food is great and I wouldn't let their AWFUL, HORRIBLE employees stop me from eating there...unfortunately (because then they won't ever change).

I will still come to smoke eaters no matter what because I loveeeee the wings too much but this has got to be the worst location of this chain!!! Food takes an obscene amount of time always, the staff is always in a state of confusion. One of my friends came on a weekend during brunch when they were offering bottomless mimosas and when he ordered the server went to a manager who then denied him the special because he was by himself and they clearly did not want to open a bottle of champagne to make him one. Weird situations like that are always arising and it's really frustrating that their staff is not more accommodating. -2 stars for their ridiculous customer service.

I usually love going here on Tuesdays cause although its their busiest day they're never short on quality but today was a huge disappointment. -wings were too dry (pretty much sauce less) -soda was slate as hell - and they forgot the 4 packets of ranch that I ordered that cost me $2.00 I'm going to go back next week to give them another chance but as of right now I'm extremely upset with the service they provided.

Probably the best wings in Man Jose. Bring your buds and bros enjoy some brews and bite on some banging birdies. The flavor variety here is great, setup is clean, and if you like spicy wings, they will not disappoint! If you are man enough, step up for the hottest wings challenge (as seen on Man V. Food).

Chicken wings were plumper than other places, and flavor was decent. I got the Thai spice/garlic. Sriracha wings weren't that spicy. Plus, it was half off on a Tuesday, so that alone would make this place 5 stars. Also stayed opened til midnite.

Always like coming here. Went as far as the "inferno" with the chicken wings spice selection today! The chicken burger (not on the menu, but something that was made to order) was great! And the garlic fries was perfect with the beer. Walked in hunngry and walked out extremely satisfied!

This location sucks. The other two are way better, they have no idea what they are doing and the bar tenders kept having personal phone calls instead of bar tending. There was a pile of trash at our table te entire 2 hours we were here...will post the pic of the trash.

  • John N.

If you like beer, you can't wrong here. I cringe when someone orders a Bud. How can you do that to yourself with 48 beers on tap? There isn't a huge menu selection, but if you wanted that you came to the wrong place. The wings and tenders are amazing. They have every level of spicy to accommodate all tastes. But I always get the buffalo chicken salad with the chicken marinated in their nuclear sauce. I can't get tired of that salad. But even more, I can't ever get bored of that beer selection.

What to say. The wings, they are outstanding. Good size, nice and flavorful. Plenty of spice. Also, plenty of heat. Issue is not sure that the flavors we ordered are the flavors we got. Would like to think the fiery garlic were great, but much hotter, not a problem, with our 2nd order of the night. Maybe we were supposed to order with a certain level of heat - not made clear to us Smoke Eater virgins. 34 beers on tap, what more could you ask for? Would have given more stars if we actually thought we got what we ordered. Make no mistake though, wings were excellent!

We came for some wings, beers and game, and this place did it's job. The beers selection is good, but the server didn't know beers though, but that's ok. They let us did tasting before we all found our beer. Chickens are average, and come with different dipping sauces. None of us dare to do the challenge thingy. Lots of TV which is great!! We can watch World Cup from any angle and still can talk with friends cus no one needed to turn his/her back :-p

Had a very bad experience A big No to this place! We went in placed our order and after waiting for 40 mins, we inquired about our food, the server said that their chefs were 1 hour late for work, so now they are working on our order which was ridiculous. Why would you keep taking orders and ringing up people if you don't have chefs in the kitchen, so irresponsible. So after waiting for 50 mins, we received our food and everything was cold. I mean if there were no chefs how was the food cooked and sitting out, waiting to be served to the customer? How can it be cold if they just came in and were working on our order ??? We decided to get a refund and leave because I didn't want to trust them with my order for another 45 mins. Getting the refund, took time because they couldn't figure out how to do it, no one apologized at all for the lack of service. Pathetic way to run a business. Never going back, and will NOT recommend them to anyone, do not trust them.

I had the thai as well as the spicy garlic dipping sauce. I'm a lazy eater so of course, i opted for the chicken tenders over the wings. The thai dipping sauce definitely surpassed the garlic one, but i liked the burn of the garlic. Also we got sweet potato fries in this huge down. I love sweet potato fries and I thought these were pretty good. They season the ries with sugar which was unexpected. Usually SPF can hold their own without anything added, but I guess with the amount of sodium I was ingesting, the sweetness really had to step up to the plate. I had a drink as well, I had a redd's apple ale rom the tap and it was soooo good. Definitely a lot of selection. Also a ton of tvs. I wasn't paying attention to what was playing and sat in front of the dart's game... I guess there's a little bit of everything for everyone here!

Great service from Michael! I wanted to watch a hockey game, and they made every effort to accommodate me, but ended up not having the right channel. No biggie; the vibe in the place was good for being a smaller place, and they had good reggae music on. I had a 32 ounce beer, an order of mozzarella sticks, and the chicken Parmesan sandwich, and it came to ~$25. Not bad at all! The mozzarella sticks were par for the course, but came with a marinara sauce that had a salsa like quality to it, which was a nice surprise. The chicken Parmesan sandwich was PHENOMENAL. It caught my attention on the menu (even though they are "famous" for their wings), and I did not regret my decision. I'm here on business for awhile, and WILL be back, and WILL bring my coworkers.

Was not impressed by the wings at all. Perhaps it was the flavors of the wings I ordered but it was definitely a let down. Tried out garlic parm (which you usually can never go wrong with), and thai zing. My general complaint is that the wings were all extremely bland and distasteful. The garlic parm was sub par, and the Thai Zing sauce was just a watered down sweet chili glaze. Not likely that i'll come back but if anything, i'll try out the tenders & beer.

Out of the three this is my favorite. Plenty of seats and no shortage of tvs, this is a great place to watch games. One thing that mashes this one stand out is the selection of beers on tap; there's about 30 of them. The wings are different and refreshing from the typical buffalo wing. They come in a variety of spiciness and have more of a buttery base than the tangy buffalo wings. They also have a variety of bbq other foods. This is just a good place to come have some beers, wings, hangout, and watch some sports.

This place has a lot of room for improvement. I love BBQ wings but this one doesn't deserve any more than 2 stars. Here are some positives: 1. Close to AMC Mercado, Starbucks, TJ Maxx, etc. Great location! 2. I like the outdoor seating. 3. Sports bar with TV screens throughout the room so anywhere you turn your head there is a TV. 4. The wings are good sized. 5. The Thai Zing is my fav sauce. 6. Thanks for not taking a long time to deliver 25 wings. Negatives: 1. Not a good idea to leave salt & pepper shakers, ketchup bottles & napkins outside because these items are constantly being exposed to dust & whatever else is out there. Please think about the health of your customers. 2. The tables aren't being cleared promptly after use. We had to sit ourselves on a table that had a mountain of bones that are waiting to be buried! If we waited longer to sit down, someone else would've taken our table. 3. We tried the Honey BBQ sauce, Thai Zing & Teriyaki sauce. The Thai Zing is my favorite although it tastes very similar to the sweet chili sauce I get from Ranch 99. It makes me wonder if Smoke Eaters makes their own sauce or if they just purchase large quantities of previously made sauces from the stores. Otherwise I can cook my own wings at home & get better sauces from BBQ galore or even at Safeway. Honestly there's more to choose from in the grocery stores than from this place. 3. I paid $32 for 25 wings (3 choices of sauce) with 2 drinks. Not bad but the wings weren't evenly divided. I had 10 wings with Teriyaki sauce, 8 with Thai Zing & 7 with honey BBQ. It doesn't make sense why they can't evenly divide the wings 8-8-9. But I have to say that they picked a good location. I believe that customers will still show up to eat but there's nothing authentic about this place that could stand out better than WINGSTOP.

First off, let it be known that my boyfriend and I enjoy a good Warriors game as much as the next guy... But the cashier was CLEARLY more interested in the game than taking an order. He was cutting us off at times to gaze open mouthed at the game. He's a dude I guess so what do you expect! But the wait time of 30 minutes for 2 sliders and 6 tenders is ridiculous. The place wasn't very crowded and the tables and chairs were disgusting. Disappointed to say the least. The food isn't that great, but customer service is important to me... So I gave one lonely star.

Great selection of beer. You can get a flight here. Beware the mango habanero sauce. I ordered it because I love spicy but I could barely finish one chicken strip the entire time I was there. It will make you breath a lot.

The wings are good, but I really don't think this place has their act together...I placed the order over the phone and was told would be ready in 10 min. Showed up in 15 min and still had to wait for 10 more min and stays in the slow line to pay.

Even though they have a large selection of draft beers, the Scotch Ale I tried was skunked and they served my porter chilled. The burger was bad, it came well-done which seemed about right seeing that the patty was barely 1/4" thick. The burger also came cut in half, I'm not 5 years old. I couldn't even eat the mozzarella sticks, I guess they took them out of the microwave too soon. Never coming back.

Yay, a SmokeEaters thats near my school! Came here around it's opening month. Not as packed as the one downtown. I ordered wings with extra sauce since I love saucy wings. Got my wings within 10 minutes or so. I swear I said extra sauce but when I got my wings it looked like it was the complete opposite. Some of my wings were only half covered in sauce ... what??? -___- I went to ask for more sauce and ended up having to buy it. Oh well. The dude that took my order was pretty nice though.

Crappy service, small portions. Showed up for lunch, during the World Cup 2014. Cashier was rude and bored. Food came quickly, but portions were pathetic. 1/3 the normal/previous amount of meat in the Tri-Tip sandwich and 1/2 the amount of fries. Tasted OK but definitely won't be back unless extremely convenient or desperate... Or if someone else is paying.

  • Suji S.

Disappointing wings and tenders. The tenders were dry with way too much crusting on it, and since we got sauce on the side, they gave enough sauce for maybe one tender. The wings were a little better, but for the price, I would go to Wingstop first. We had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and it was actually a good sandwich but the fries were terrible. Soggy and not edible, exactly what happens when the oil isn't hot enough, unacceptable for a chain restaurant. Service was ok, but we ordered the tri tip sandwich and they told us after paying there was no tri tip left, we went with the 50 cent cheaper buffalo, and honestly I didn't care for the 50 cent refund, but what was disappointing....no offer to refund. Not even a comment from them about it. Will never go again.

First I am giving one star because the cashier was nice. We ordered food to go but, when we got home we opened up our bag and found that they gave a chips but no Guac so if you look at the pictures you will see this and as per the receipt we paid 5.65 for basically chips only. Then we paid an extra .92 for garlic fries and only got fries. What a rip off. If I didn't have a screaming baby and lived closer, I would go back and ask for what I paid but, it will cost me the same amount in gas as the money I lost paying for something and not getting it.

Other locations have more seating, this one gets pretty busy. Ask to sit down if people are sitting at the big tables near the bar. 69¢ wings on Tuesdays. But they drive me crazy because they don't clean their tables!

A bunch of us came here for lunch recently. After contemplating between their chicken strips and other things in the menu, I settled for a Philly cheese steak. After placing the order and paying at the counter, I grabbed the pager and got seated in one of the tables. Picked up my sandwich after the pager vibrated. The portion is not as big as the ones that I have seen in other places. The meat was very greasy. The side of potato salad was no good either. May come by to try their wings, but not ordering any of their sandwiches again.

I come here often enough that I should have learned my lesson. The wings are great the beer to choose from is plenty. Just remember please please check your order, no matter how fast you need to leave the place. Sometimes I've been short sometimes I've had extra or sometimes you don't get what you ask for. This would be more for takeout orders. In house much easier to complain and get your order fixed. It's much harder to decide to go back after taking your shoes off and ready to chill with some good fries and wings, to complain and get your order fixed. All in all the food is good (when right) I'll still go, just remember check your to go orders!!!!!

The food is great, but the service could definitely use some help. I came here on a weekday afternoon for lunch with some of my girlfriends, and since there was a lunch time rush, it was a little busy. The line to order went by fast, but the girl who rang me up seemed to be in a sour mood and gave me attitude for no apparent reason, even though I was polite and had a smile on my face. I ordered 5 atomic wings for myself, and chicken tenders with sauce on the side (which is an actual option on the menu) to-go for my husband. The wings that I ate were good, but I made the mistake of not making sure the to-go order was correct before I left, which of course it wasn't. My hubby later told me that he didn't have any sauce for his tenders- which is the main reason people go to smoke eaters in the first place- for the sauce! I did really enjoy the sports decorations at the restaurant- the San Jose Sharks, San Francisco Giants, and San Francisco 49ers each had their own wall of sports memorabilia dedicated to the team. Its unfortunate that i didn't have a pleasant first experience because the food and restaurant itself aren't the problem; its most definitely the service. The employee could have just been having a bad day, so its not like I won't give this location another chance. I just hope that I don't encounter another worker with a sour attitude during the next visit.

The food is ok, just typical bar food. They do have a great selection of beer and plenty if yes so you can catch the game from any seat. I gave it 3 stars because of so so customer service and cleanliness. I went there for lunch last week and all of the empty tables we dirty and not bussed. Also there was only one person taking orders for a long line and no one really explained that the menus are up front.

OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! Seriously, this place is our go to for wings! They have great options for my girls and my husband and I have never been disappointed by anything we've ordered. They're portions are gigantic and everything is so tasty! Their nachos are DELICIOUS, a must try. But the real winner is their Thai Zing sauce. Whether you get it on wings or tenders (which are also massive) it's the greatest sauce! So totally super love it! I would absolutely give them 5 Stars for food.....but can, regrettably, only give them 4 people of the terrible customer service. I swear, they employ the most tragic people ever. No one has ever been rude, they just look like they're miserable all the time. :-/

I figured I'd post as a counterpoint to everyone who received poor service. I went to this location, on a weekend, in the middle of a World Cup game... the place was packed. Even so, the staff was attentive and our food was ready promptly. The wings were OK, but the beer selection was phenomenal. I think WingStop is a better value overall, but I had a decent experience.

I've only been here once, but I definitely had a great experience. I was craving wings but didn't want to deal with the DTSJ traffic. If you've never been before, this is the same spot in Downtown and in Cupertino. Great thing for me, its a lot closer to my work! I was a little concerned that it would be swamped, so I phoned in my order around 615 and headed over. I got there a bit faster than I had originally expected (got there a little after 6:30... I thought I would hit some traffic) so my food wasn't quite ready (I ordered 50 atomic wings and 50 mild wings plus a basket of fries with mild sauce). After paying for my order, I chilled next to the bar area to check the scores of the baseball games and to see their tap options. I must say, this SmokeEaters has one of the largest selections of beers on tap that I've seen in awhile! There were so many options--your regulars (Buds, Millers, Stella, etc) but they also have a lot of craft brews on tap. I mentioned that my friend had told me to try the Ruination (a double IPA), but I was concerned because I'm not much of an IPA drinker--and the bartender poured me a taste before I ordered. That was awesome because I was able to see that I still hate IPA (hahahah). I was able to stick with one of my faves. Anyway, after a few minutes wait, my food was bagged up and ready to go. They kept apologizing for my wait time, but it was truly a pleasure. I can see why some people thing its a bit crowded, but hey--that's what you get for coming to an awesome spot, right? If you don't want to deal with the crowds, do what I do--get it to go! #Yelp100Challenge

It was a cool experience... heard about it thru the great vine. The hot wings were delicious, but DO NOT ORDER THE SALADS. It was pretty bland. I would definitely come back here for hot wings and beer. Plus, it's a great place to watch football. Gooooo NINERS!!!

came here with my family recently and ordered their Mango Habanero & Thai Spice chicken wings. We ordered three sandwiches- tri-tip, mexican, and philly cheesesteak. I substituted garlic fries and curly fries to the regular fries that came with the sandwiches. We also ordered one onion rings. Our total came to almost $80. The mango habanero sauce was kind of nasty tasting with a spicy kick. The Thai Spice chicken wings were just ok. All three sandwiches came with extremely cold fries and all the sandwiches tasted so bland that my daughter claimed even when she added salt to her philly cheesesteak sandwich, it still didn't taste like anything. I absolutely felt RIPPED OFF spending $80 and not one of my six kids were satisfied with the food !

My first impression of the Smoke Eaters at this location is definitely a good one. Since my friends and I typically frequent the Smoke Eaters in downtown San Jose on Tuesday nights for their great deal on wings, we were very relieved to see the lack of crowds here, probably because we arrived at around 8pm; we didn't have any trouble finding a table or parking. The customer service was reliable. The employees were courteous and I received my order in a timely manner -- it took about 15 minutes. I was able to enjoy my meal. I ordered the atomic wings, which is what I would suggest for the average person who wants to test the waters, in regards the heat of the wings. It came dripping in sauce, which is something Wing Stop does not often deliver. The chili cheese fries are also recommended because of its portions. I can safely say that it can satiate the appetite of three grown men (in addition to the wings). In an ideal world, an improvement I would like to see would be a larger restroom, since the current occupancy rate is only one. There is a separate men's and women's, but considering it's a restaurant/bar where the only utensils I'll probably be using are my fingers and I'll be drinking, it would be appreciated if they could invest in renovating the room to accommodate more people. Ranch costs 50 cents. While it isn't expensive, I have a predilection for over using ranch as well as napkins. Luckily, the napkin dispensers were in easily accessible locations on every table. I'll probably be returning to this location in the near future.

Probably the best place for hot wings. They have a lot more flavors than I last remembered years ago. However, their quite pricey unless you go on Tuesdays. I came on a Thursday to watch the game and got wings and tenders ($2 Thursdays) and a beer, which came out to $20. My friend spent a little more than I did. Wings were big and juicy. Tenders were huge as well, each one is roughly the size of a chicken breast you would eat for dinner. They have a ton of beers on tap, but their practically bar prices ($6+). Happy hour didn't help much since its only $1 off crafts and some other lame deals. Overall, the place is too pricey to watch the game with food and beers. I'm only going back for wing Tuesdays and probably take it to go so I can enjoy a couple beers with it without breaking the bank

    (3)
  • Albert C.

Awesome, had the chicken tenders but I was thinking thew were the same size as the chicken strips from similar restaurants, when my order arrived i was amazed, those chicken tenders were enormous, like almost the size of a whole chicken breast , really juicy and tender. My only complain was that it took for so long to get my order but then again, the place was packed.

Not the place I would like to visit again. The furnishing is good, and 10 flat TV looks awesome as a sport bar. But the taste of wings are really so-so. I've tried two different level of spicy wings, they are both very sour and salty, and one with too much favor of ketchup. Very very thick sauce, make it hard to taste the chicken itself. I really don't like it that way. Probably stick to Lemon Pepper wing of WingStop would be a better choice.

Smoke Eaters. Remember when chicken wings actually had MEAT on them? Smoke Eaters does. They don't jip you with a breaded, fried chicken bone dipped in sauce like another sorry venue that starts with B and ends with wings. These things are loaded with meat. Loaded. They are breaded well, and have tons of sauce. Also 30+ BEERS ON DRAFT. Micro brews. Heaven? Close, very very close. Also, they have a great bar. It seats about 15 and is a square shape with 3 TV's for each side of the bar. Service is great - I requested a basketball game, our bartender had no idea how to do it, and went to call his supervisor, learn how to find games (they have every sports game on TV), and then put it on. Awesome. Between the all the meat on the wings, the liberal use of sauce, the BEERS, the service, and the bar seating I want to give 5 stars. But I won't because that's probably the wings & beer talking. 4.5.......don't bother with other wing joints if you're going for the food & beer.

The Good: Non-chicken wing items. UFC! The Bad: The wings are just not that great. The Review: When it comes to chicken wing places I like them in this order: Wing Stop (Lemon Pepper), Buffalo Wild Wings (Garlic Parmesan), and Tyson buffalo chicken wings. LOL. I jest. But I really don't like the wings from this place. This location is a bit smaller, so if you are there to watch UFC you should get there early to secure a seat. They don't have TVs outside, but they do have TVs facing outside with a nice loud speaker. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sliders, and I really enjoyed them. When I think of sliders, I think of bite sized little sandwiches...these were anything but. They were the size of regular buns, on a very soft bread. The pulled pork mixed with cole slaw was very good. The fries were okay. I'd recommend it for a nice spot to watch a game or UFC. But I think if given the choice, I'd rather make the longer drive to a Buffalo Wild Wings.

This SE is a four star all day long. I don't know what the three star folks are thinking. The nuclear sauce is amazing. The chicken comes out quick and it is very tender, especially the tenders. This location uses real plates and silverware. Nice touch. And they have all those beer choices which is rare. How many other restaurants and bars have 25 beer choices? Not bad for a chicken wing place. The staff are excellent. Get there early for lunch or you might get crowded out.

    (4)
  • Audrey M.

We ordered wings. They were terrible! The chicken was warm and it was smothered in cold sauce! The beer is ok a little in the warm side. Service was fast. I love all the tvs and they have a lot of seating. Not going to come back though.

Don't come here for the food. The food is over priced and unfortunately the flavor doesn't back it up.

Lets just admit, it's good. Not the best, but good. What I love about smokeEaters is the way they fry their wings. They have a nice crispy outside with juicy meat inside. The sauces are not the best but delicious. I prefer SmokeEaters over Wingstop any day. I always order the original sauce and it's great. Not too salty, but spicy enough that it is felt, but not burning. I have also tried the Thai Zing and honestly I am not a fan, but thats just my personal preference. I have also tried the cheese fries, unlike the wingstop cheese sauce, this is literally melted gouda or muenster over fries. Nothing to go crazy about, but they were tasty and nice to mop up the extra wing sauce. Ill just stick to regular fries next time. But lets face it, the reason you go to SmokeEaters is to eat along with the atmosphere. They have plenty of TV screens and seating, and the bar cannot be beat. The beers on tap are numerous so there is always something for everyone.

This is my favorite place to get wings! I usually go to the one in San Jose but since I was around the area I just stopped by this location. I love how the chicken is super crunchy and has a lot of flavor. the curly fries are also extremely good. The price is pretty reasonable roughly 1$ for each wing. It took a while to get our food even though there were only 3 other small groups there but I didn't mind it much.

Food was cold, fries were under cooked and it took forever for food to arrive! Had potential but poorly run!

    (2)
  • Mike L.

The food came out COLD and the tenders were super dry. They also had one of the worst service I ever experienced. The guy at the cashier needs to be trained in both the register and customer service as he came off as very unapproachable and lazy and it took him 5 minutes to put in a simple order of 3 tenders and fries. I'm sticking to the SE downtown.

    (1)
  • Luke S.

I ordered a cheeseburger here. By the time I sat down, it was already cold. It was also the smallest $9 burger I've ever had. My coworkers really liked the wings they got, so I guess they are good at their main item.

Ordered 50 wings, 1 basket of garlic fries (not enough garlic for the amount of fries), 1 gallon of beer(good for 2 glasses each for 5 ppl) for 5 this most recent time. 4 sauces - garlic parmesan(my current favorite), thai zing (pretty good), atomic spicy bbq (wasnt that spicy which is good for me cause i hate spicy), honey siracha(it was okay, friends liked it, I dont care for it). Bill $77 with tax w/o tip Anyway why is this 3 stars? I'm pretty sure in the menu it says the chicken wings come with celery and your choice of ranch or bleu cheese. Well, I expect some ranch or bleu cheese. I got neither. I asked the young lady (younger than me at least lol), about the ranch, and she said it was going to cost .50 for a small ranch dip. From what I remember during lunch, I always got ranch for free with my order. She kept saying something about the 50 wing special means that we dont get ranch with the order. I wasn't in the mood to argue so I left it at that. I like my ranch dip! I slather my chickens in wonderful sauces + ranch. But this time no ranch :( Anyway, I'll likely keep coming back here cause this is the only chicken wings place in the area close to work. Ive definitely had better elsewhere for not as expensive. Going from 5.75 for 5 wings to something like 49 for 50 wings isnt much of a discount especially with NO RANCH!!!!!

The presentation is really terrible here. I was waiting for my food and I kept looking at how badly the presentation of the food was. It looked like someone just tossed a bucket of chicken and it landed on the plate. The ranch that came with some of the orders were just sitting on top of the tenders like they were just thrown on there. There was also no celery at all with the tenders which made it look really plain on top of everything else. I had my order to go so when I got home I opened my containers and noticed half of my tenders were completely dry, it looked like someone just splashed a little bit of atomic sauce on my chicken and called it a day. I also only got 5 pieces out of 6, I don't know how you mess that up with tenders, the pieces are so huge. By looking at the pictures it seems like they just don't half ass the sauce but other items on the menu too and further proves this wasn't a 1 time incident. This visit made me appreciate how well the Smoke Eaters in DT SJ and Cupertino are managed considering they also run their kitchen with half the staff that SC was running. Props to them.

Its all about the chicken strips, its a sports bar pretty much serving chicken and the chicken tenders rule. I am not saying Fine dining chicken strips, I am talking large thin coated strips when dipped in just Ranch dressing rule. OK the Salads are nice and the burgers and other stuff are ok, tons of beer selections, but lets get back to the Chicken Strips they are HUGE !! The 3 strip plate is more then enough to shame most places that serve chicken strips. As for the Fries and onions rings, they are pretty good, but the onion rings are a bit pricey for my taste. MY SUGGESTION for the owner and his son's is for the love of GOD serve us Fish and Chips !! Then you will get a 5 star rating.. Just my 2 cents

The food is always always good, but unfortunately the service is not nearly as good as all the other locations. My order is almost always wrong & have to reorder or they completely forget to make our food.

Good wings and food. D cent beer selection. Plan to wait a while for your food; they tend to take a while.

Surprisingly good selection of beers. It's best to get a bunch of wings and fries to split among the group so your taste buds don't get bored. There are a lot of tv's so you can pretty much watch from any seat. If you go for lunch just make sure you get there early as it gets packed for lunch.

The food is not terrible but not great either. I think it's always crowded because of the movie goers. But the ambiance is very much fun. Good place to hang out with your friends.

Its all good Yes it takes a lil time to get your order sometimes i think what Fare thoses 3 dudes doing in the back Chooping chicken or what Its just deep frying the wings and dump sauce on it its irritating sometimes but its all Good Go there 2 times a week they should move a lil faster :)

Tried the traditional with the sauce on the side. I'm from upstate ny, so was looking for that traditional Buffalo flavor. It's ok, but the thing that struck me was how dirty the place is. The menu had a huge sauce finger painting, in the abstract style of painting on it. The table was sticky and dirty, and there were large crumbs of unknown origin on the bar stool next to me.

This place is pretty horrible.. So many better choices for wings.. I am not a fan of chains.. But wingstop is 100 times better than this place.. 1. The BBQ sauce tastes like ketchup 2. By the time we got our food it was already cold

My coworkers were craving wings and beer so I suggested this place! Definitely hit the spot. The wings here are huge! Way bigger than Wingstop and juicier than Buffalo Wild Wings! I usually have a problem with BDubs because the wings are super dry and service takes forever, and Wingstop the wings are juicy, but they're tiny. The place has the best of eveything! Plus they have a lot of unique beers on tap which is awesome. Only bad thing is the place isn't always clean and there aren't as many TV's as BDubs, but even Best Buy doesnt have as many TV's as they do haha! Overall, this is a great place if you just want to chill and eat with a group of friends. Small place, but has a lot to offer. If you love spicy food, this place is great because they have like 7 levels of heat, Inferno being the hottest! If you can handle the heat, I dare you to try it!

Wow. First and last time in. Ordered a Reuben. It was lousy bread, with 3 (maybe 4) slices of meat. Barely any dressing, cheese not melted (though it was warm) tasted like it was made using store bough pastrami, not fresh cut like you expect for thr price. My friend ordered a cheeseburger. Also underwhelming. Looked and he said tasted, like a frozen Patty, not fresh pressed... Again not what you would expect for the price.

I've had a craving for chicken wings and finally last night it was satisfied! When he said "let's go to smoke eaters" I was praising sweet baby Jesus. It was busy in Tuesday night so I jumped in line and told my boyfriend to go in search for a table in this busy place. I ordered 15 traditional wings (they come in random sets of 5), curly fries and jalapeño poppers. I got the sprite and took a big gulp because of the heat, and it tasted terrible. The syrup ran out, bummer. So I poured it out and got coke instead. Glad I did because it tasted so much better with the wings. The wings were good and the sauce was spicier than I thought it would. Jalapeño poppers were just ok. I've had better from fast food places. The curly fries are always amazing! They came out hot and crispy. Despite the packed house, the service was quick and we didn't have to wait long which is always awesome!

the food is decent enough and a decent selection of beer, but I don't know what kind of environment this place is going for. The music is always so loud that you have to shout to have a conversation with the person next to you. It seems a little ridiculous to have 45 TV's with sports on them but you can't talk about the game cuz you can't hear the person next to you. I'm guessing the owner doesn't come in here at night. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

WIFI: SmokeEaters2 Password: hellfire95 (all lower cases) Went in for a warm-up leading to today's biggest game, the NBA finals game 6. Warriors vs. Cavaliers. I ordered 5 pieces SmokeEater nuclear. The chicken pieces was delicious. Saucy in the outside, yummy on the inside . I asked for WIFI password, no problem. The person whom assist was very generous and helpful. Ordered an IPA which was great. The restroom was clean, everything was top notch. Cons: .$50 for ranch sauce. Very annoying when you're charged without knowing Overall, I would go here again. Although I had always prefer the original SmokeEaters next to Santa Clara University.

The staff is nice and the setup is just right for watching sports games and having beer and wings with friends. It gets really crowded in here and people start competing with one another for seats. You can order a gallon of beer and they serve it as one humongous pitcher. It's really large but a small adult girl can carry it easily. It just looks very intimidating! The fried chicken was OK. It wasn't soft and felt a little tough to bite on. The cheese quesadilla was good. Always ask for extra sour cream but they give you 4 giant pieces of carbohydrate goodness, but not enough goo to go with it!

Friday 5pm...great music playing, not crowded, no line to order. Person taking our order 'T. Reyes' according to my receipt was completely uninterested in helping me. Her lack of communication and abrupt, rude, irritated attitude will prevent me from returning even though the food is quite good and happy hour deals are decent. Why hire wait staff that is not friendly? I am a pleasant human, merely a patron of the establishment, and it baffles me why you would employ people with a nasty demeanor. Avoid this choice. At least you'll be greeted with a smile at World Wrapps, heck, even In & Out.

Fun sports bar atmosphere without some of the raucousness you typically find. They offer a wide range of heat levels but limited number of flavors as opposed to Wing Stop. However, they offer other items besides chicken wings, as opposed to Wing Stop. So you can tell in my area it's either SmokeEaters or Wing Stop. Which one do I prefer? It all depends on your mood. Varying levels of heat and other food options? SmokeEaters! Variety of flavored sauces? Wing Stop!

  • Matt B.

Atmosphere of this bar is great but if the rating was based on wings alone, it would be less than 3 stars. The parm garlic sauce was basically garlic butter. Other sauces didn't have much flavor (sriracha honey and Asian zing). Beer selection is fantastic. Staff was OK but not particularly on point. They seemed to have a great time with each other but not really watching out for opportunities to help customers.

I love this smoke eaters! I prefer it over to the one at downtown, but it just gets hard to find a seat during lunch time. The waiters are generally ready to clear a table when someone has left. Wait time for the food wasn't bad and they give free ranches unlike the one at downtown. They charge you for sauces over there now which made me a bit disappointed.

  • Tram N.

I'm torn between a 3 and a 3.5 only because the atmosphere here reminds me of a club; loud and annoying. There are plenty of televisions for what I assume is for sports watching but how the fuck can I concentrate on the game if your lousy music keep blaring? This ain't a club, yo. Service was friendly and pretty fast. The guy that rung me up had a genuine smile and gave me silent props for ordering the hottest level of hot on my tenders. I don't do wings only because I want the meat and not the bones. Plus, I don't like getting my fingers dirty. A much smaller location than the one located in downtown but more variety on its menu. I see pastrami topped burgers and pastrami topped fries, I think. I wasn't trying to order what I would normally order because I had a 2x2 protein-style and animal fries at In N Out just minutes prior to coming here. I am always hungry.

  • Allyson Y.

SmokeEaters has some a-ok wings. I typically enjoy their nachos but don't really order much else considering their chicken has been inconsistent at times. Their staff is chill, the atmosphere is great for catching a sports game, but you have to get there over an hour early for a playoff game cuz it gets packed quickly! Seating is very limited on playoff game days. They have a lot of beer on tap, some wine, and a self-serve soft drink machine. If you dine-in, be patient with the staff as they bus the tables from the party before you. They don't come to the table to take your order here. You order at the counter, then receive a pager that buzzes once your food is ready. Tip: If you want to try their food, order take-out.

Can I just say I love the fact that this place opens until mid night? I've been getting hungry a lot especially around 10pm or 11pm and this is my favorite place to go for snacks ! I really like the chicken here . I usually don't wanna eat too spicy because I still want to taste the chicken so I order the atomic bomb and I finished 10 wings in 5 minutes . I'm getting so fat lately :( may be I should start going to the gym again.. But I feel lazy.. I like eating better.. Íts much easier than going to the gym.. The price is very decent too. 10 wings is like 10 bucks ? So it's pretty cheap . I don't drink alcohol much so I can't really say they have good beer but from what I say everyone orders beer and it looks good ! I don't wanna have a beer belly :( clothes wouldn't look good on me anymore you know ?! Omg I have to write a review about yard house now !! I just remembered I had a beer there last time and it was really good! It didn't even taste like beer at all!! I was so buzzed after 1/3 of a cup lololol I'm such a cheap date :( okay good night ! Xoxo

So far just ehh... Customer service is sub par, but I guess when you're used to catering to college students, their standards aren't very high. Food was also subpar, not worth the crappy service to fight for it. I haven't been back since, nor do I plan on...

So I like beer, scratch that, I enjoy perhaps even love beer. This place has a surprising amount of beers on tap. I was actually a little overwhelmed (Which is a great thing!) Upon entry, I first saw all the beers on tap and was just stumped. It was a lovely sight to see really. Beer and chicken wings, in unison under one roof!?!?! YES!! I picked a porter, then a nice imperial stout and got the thai zing tenders and took a seat. The beers were good! The tenders are also really good! They are good sized wings, I got full with the three I got along with my beers. TIP!!!!1: Tender thursday!!! That is all I have to say about that :P The place itself is a tad small, and the outside seating is two tables and a few chairs. I can see it being crowded for a group of more than 5. The service was fair, nothing spectacular to be frank. The prices are also fair. The sauces are all pretty tasty! Try them all! Overall; not a bad stop if you want some greasy wings and a pint of good beer

I had seen the restaurant on Man Vs. food with Adam Richman. This particular location is a new location but the menu was as diverse as all the Beers they had on Tap. I was in the neighborhood and wanted to grab a bite to eat. I saw they had Burgers and I couldn't resist the Western Burger. It had BBQ sauce and Onion rings. I also grabbed a Velvet Merlin Oatmeal Stout to wash it down. The Fries with burger were light and crispy and the Western was Awesome! The place had a casual feel for lunch and free Wi Fi. Lots of Tv's everywhere so it is definitely a place to catch your favorite team. The IMAX theater is right across the parking lot and it can be a great dining option before or after you catch a flick.

Ordered 25 wings, opened the box, there were only 15 wings in the box. And this is not the first time. Apparently they don't know how to count. 1 star and never come back. Be sure to check your box when you order to-go.

Meh. I was not very impressed with SmokeEaters. It was a busy weekday lunch and the line was moving pretty quick. The menu has a large variety of foods you might expect from a sports bar like burgers, chicken sandwiches and of course, wings. I love chicken wings so of course we had to indulge a bit! I saw something on yelp mentioning wings being discounted on Tuesday but you would have no idea other than Yelp. No signage, nothing on the menu. Once we got to the cashier, I asked her if the wings were on special today and she looked at me extremely annoyed and said "yea", I asked what the special was and she said that they were .65 cents each. She was clearly annoyed. We ordered 5 Honey BBQ and 5 Thai Chili and an order of the sweet potato fries to split. We were given a buzzer pager and found a table outside since it was a nice day. If you choose to sit inside, there are a ton of TV's with ESPN on. Our food took about 20 minutes. The wings were just okay. Honey BBQ was nothing special, and I didn't taste too much honey. Thai Chili were a little better, but there wasn't enough sauce. The sweet potato fries were very good, but on the menu it stated "dusted with cinnamon and sugar". There was no sign of either. Our meal came out to around $13 bucks which is pretty good but the food was lacking and the customer service was terrible. Don't think I'll be back.

Decided to give this place a shot since I was familiar with Cluck-U back in my college days. I hoped to see either an improvement or at least better flavors than the traditional they offered in the past. Surprisingly, the wings aren't as bad as most people reviewed. They are a bit larger in size compared to Wing Stop. I ordered the Atomic flavor and they were very mild to me. Atomic did have a nice tang to it and the vinegar base definitely shined through. This is not a buffalo wing flavor that most people are expecting. Onion rings are beer battered and fried perfectly, none of which were clumped together. I do not recommend the tenders. They were large but the batter felt too doughy and lacked any seasoning. You can taste a little burnt oil flavor. Also, I did not like new Honey Sriracha flavor. It was way too sweet and reminded me of a dessert rather than a savory sauce. There was not a trace of sriracha flavor in there at all! Overall, I will come back and stick with the basic wings and traditional flavors. I shall return.

We out for a team lunch. They make some of the hottest sauces ever! I had their salmon burger with fries which was quite good. Nothing spectacular - it's a decent spot for a casual weekend lunch.

This place is alright but kind of pricey, I ordered 20 traditional wings and some curly fries and it came out to like $36... The wings were pretty good quality but the sauces are just ok, other wing chains have far better sauces in my opinion. The staff seemed a little immature, one guy was flicking a towel at his co-workers butt and giggling while I stood there for 3 minutes waiting to have my order taken. I won't be back but overall it was an okay experience.

On the way back from San Francisco, I was driving and told myself I was going to order chicken wings from Bon Chon in Sunnyvale. Unfortunately, my boyfriend called them 3 times but no answer. HMPH. So we decided to order from here since it was on the way back to San Jose. It was football Sunday - Battle of the Bay - and I was expecting the same situation with them not picking up our call. Luckily they did so we were glad since we were = s t a r v i n g. It's crazy ordering from here when it's not Tuesday because you're just not used to the price of it haha. The wings here are huge though so it's not a big deal. I always get the traditional flavor because I'm too wuss to go higher than that. Their garlic fries are BOMB AF. So freakin' flavorful and delicious. Get it son.

I hosted an event here on wing night. A horribly busy night that was made perfect by the manager, Joseph, and even better by his staff: Josh, Perry, and Jermaine. The tables were first come first served but they did give me a heads up that I should plan to be super early. While there, it felt like they really took care of us. I was very impressed on how knowledgeable, considerate, and friendly they were. I was allowed to re-live my childhood of going to "Cluck U"'s before it got renamed. This wasn't the exact location but the food was as good as I remembered it. Also, even better, now I can enjoy craft beers! Note: Best location for smoke eaters for parking. I would say service and ambiance but it's been a while since I've been to the other locations. Onto the food: Naked wings with sauce on the side: Best thing my friends told me to get. I got to try multiple sauces with a small cost per additional sauce, but it was completely worth every penny. I loved that the wings were crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. Garlic Parmesan: A general mild one that my friends and I loved! Garlic and cheese, can you get any better? Traditional: Really good flavor that is better than your average buffalo wing sauce. Atomic: Dark in color and had quite a bit of a kick. More kick than flavor but I still loved it! Feel the burn! Garlic Fries: A must have. A basket of fries that held a mound of fries topped with plenty of chopped garlic and parsley. Golden brown and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! Overall, I can't wait to come back to this place from the food to the atmosphere and the hospitality. This was a welcome home to remember! Thank you for making this happen.

This particular smoke eaters is just something else..I called to make an order for pick up and it took me 10 tries before they actually picked up. I'm not sure if they were busy around 7 or 8 or if they were doing something else but it was just ridiculous..once they finally picked up my call, I asked for wings and the way he sounded was like he didn't even wanna work there lol. Before my called ended, he didn't even inform me of how long it'll take or anything he just said "ummhmm okay" then hung up..like wtf are you going to call me back when it's ready or give me an approximate wait time or what..but in the end, I never got a call back or a reminder or anything lmfao freaking ridiculous. I've been to smoke eaters in downtown SJ and it's one the best known joints around..this one in SC just gives a bad name. Very disappointed

I've been to this smoke eaters quite a few times. Multiple times for work and a handful of times for fun. This trip was a little less pleasant though, thus the deduction of one star. I got the garlic Parmesan chicken tenders and they were fried too long to where the crust fell off of the chicken. The French fries were soggy. And the beer we were served was not refreshingly cold. I asked one of the bartenders (leaving names out) if the keg was new because it wasn't as cold as it should be. He felt our pitcher (which was already loosing condensation 5 minutes after pouring it) and then went to the back to check the keg. He came back and said "I don't know what to tell you guys, the keg was ice cold in the back".... I shook my head in disbelief that he wouldn't offer a new pitcher. After another 10 minutes of not having cold beer I told the bartender in front of another bartender that the guy across the bar from us got his beer before us and still had condensation on his glass while ours were dry. He offered to get us another pitcher of a different beer. The problem was solved, but should have been solved the first time. I wasn't rude about it, but the beer was literally in drinkable. And I'm not a beer snob by any means. All in all, service is usually really good. Food is usually really good. But this time left a crappy taste in my mouth!

My husband had a nostalgia kick so we all went to Smoke Eaters after a movie. TVs are literally everywhere on different sports channels. Short of having NFL Red Zone I'm sure you can find every football game here on Sundays. For a relatively small dining area there are a lot of tables that will fit groups of 6+ people. Everyone else at my table got wings, so I went for chili sliders. They were okay, but it was clear they just reheated some canned chili beans instead of mixing in their own flavors. My friend got a bowl of nachos, which just had melted cheese on top. Not even 5 minutes later the cheese hardened back to its original form. I should have just ordered wings.

I've been here 50 time and have yet to write a review, excuse my manners. Tuesday and Thursday all day are wing specials. Tues = 69cent wings (order quantities of 5). They have tons of amazing flavors. Ones I highly recommend (in order): Traditional Death Atomic Garlic Parmesan Thai Zing Flavors that I don't like (personally though, some do): Mango habanero (zero flavor, zero spice) Honey sriracha (no flavor, but sticky) Lemon pepper (plain) Thursdays are $1 tenders (great deal, well worth $1 each and you'll be full off 2 to 3 easy). They also have tons of daily specials, unique beers, happy hours, tons of TV, very helpful staff. I come here at least once or twice a month!

Always come here for the bar; service varies depends on which server you'll get. My wife and I do like their wings a lot because they are decent sizes and lots of options of sauces to choose from. We've tried their double cheese burgers as well but wasn't a huge fan; the buns were too big compares to the meat, and the meat was under cooked (red, not pink). We do like their beer selections; though most of their servers didn't really know much about their beers. Surprisingly one of the female servers knew better than the male servers there. It's a fun place to hang out and we'll be back for sure; only wish they can improve their service a little bit, pay more attention to their customers.

There's not a lot to say about this place. They're good for cheap, delicious, crisp and juicy wings on Tuesdays. They also have a wide selection of beer for those that want to pair an alcoholic beverage with their meal. My favorite level of spiciness is atomic. I recommend it over traditional, it's only one level hotter. I know sports fans also love this place to watch a game, since there are so many TV screens.

    (4)
  • Bucky M.

Pretty mediocre. No dry rub, just heavy sauces. Tried the garlic parmesan sauce, it was so buttery, just left my stomach feeling queasy (and I only had 5 wings). I recommend not getting any sauce.

  • Tushar J.

Craving for wings. BWW too far. How bad can this be? Food: ordered 3 sauces on chicken wings- honey sriracha, fiery garlic, atomic buffalo. They don't even label the baskets with the sauce names. If they did, one of the labels would be ketchup. No kidding. Tasted like wings are dipped in a bucket of ketchup. Service: extremely rude. Don't care if tables haven't been cleaned for long time. Never coming back.

The beers are always good, where ever you go.. I like going to this place when a game is on. The atmosphere is electric and they have TV screens placed everywhere. Good appetizers to go with the beer. However, the place gets filled very and they do not take reservations.

Good place to get wings of all kinds. Bad place to take a date unless you are strapped for cash and don't care about smearing sauce on your lovely faces. A bunch of colleagues and I came here and some are notorious spicy foodnatics. We had the Classic, Atomic, 4 fire alarm, and the Inferno. The inferno is most memorable as the heat builds up gradually until you feel your throat tighten and lips start to swell. After the second bite of an inferno wing I was tearing-up and crying out for more water. The "spicy foodnatics" were unfazed and claimed that the wings really weren't that spicy...Crazy bunch.

I suggest come here to drink and eat at the bar; I came here with my husband once and was amazed with their beer selections. However, the bartender didn't seem to know their beer too well and that's why I am removing one start. Good thing is they allow you to try before you get the full size; prices of their beers were also quite reasonable. We ordered their wings as well in 4 different sauces; I personally like to order plain with sauces on the side because I can't handle spicy too well. Chicken wings were not big in size but acceptable (we mainly came here to drink and hang out anyway). Overall it was a good experiences and will definitely come here again for the beer and great service at the bar.

Ehhh this place is alright. The staffs are nice and the place looks really nice with their Bay Area spirit. Just wasn't a big fan of their sauce. I prefer wicked chicken next to Santa Clara University. I ordered the tenders with traditional sauce and it was just way too sweet for traditional. Not what I'm used to.

Came here to watch UFC. It was pretty packed, but we still managed to find seats. They have a great selection of beer on tap. Their screens are very big and it was easy to see the action no matter where you were sitting.

This is probably the best SmokeEaters location i've been to. Check this out. Wherever you sit....you'll have a view to their TV. no joke.. TV everywhere. The service was fast too... But i mean..typical.. you pick how many wings..and pick the level of spice you want.... I'm pretty sadistic when it comes to spice... so..catch me get the Inferno at times.

Got a buffalo chicken salad today, which was a refreshing chance to the typical chicken wing and French fry combination. The salad came with chicken tenders tossed in their atomic sauce, which was more sweet than spicy for me. The salad included vegetables like cherry tomatoes and cucumber, and it came with tortilla strips, for a nice crunch.

Ok I have to say things have improved. Our first choice for lunch closed as we showed up late. wanting to catch the second half of the world cup game we rushed over as they have lots of tvs and they were open. Got the tri tip with curly friends and a few chicken tenders. Tri tip had good hickory smoke and was solid with the au jus. Curly fries were standard and the tenders were large and well cooked. I guess they upped their game in the almost year they've been open. Definitely good for sports if you dont want to eat...

Had curly fries, wings and and what they called beer on my first (and likely only) trip to the AMC Mercado location. Having spent some years in Buffalo, I know wings. I asked how hot their wings really were (they've got 7 or more options), they said really hot. Hedging against truthfulness, I selected the 4-Alarm (the second hottest option on the menu). These were not hot wings, they'd be a medium at best at Duff's. Plus, they were slathered in some sort of BBQ type sauce. The curly fries were perfectly fine, but that is not why we are here. The beer was more like a flat, alcoholic apple cider, definitely funky, certainly not tasty. The staff was disinterested in my experience despite my return of the beverage.

Atomic Nuclear wings is so spicy!!! The place is really happening especially on a game night. So many people not enough room to sit or even stand!

  • Ali S.

The food was terrible! The French fries were soggy and cold and the chicken tenders were horrible. The only thing this place is good for is to drink over priced beer and watch a sporting game.

Every worker here is darling. Which is a word in the English dictionary I rarely use but my amazing aunt uses it all the time to describe amazing people. So, I find it fitting. Truly though, they remember my name and my husbands, and treat us like we are royalty. I think their service is incredible and beer is amazing. I haven't had any complaints in the last 5 years or so they've been open. Bravo! Bravo!

Boy am I glad I finally found this place! This is an ultimate "man food" place and I Love it! TV's everywhere, great Big Wings, and a wall full of Beers on Tap that can put even the biggest bars to shame! Let's talk about the Wings First! Seriously, this place puts Wing Stop and Buffalo Wild Wings to shame with the size of their wings! Baby Wings vs. WINGS! They are cooked perfectly every time, crispy, and juicy! They don't have the biggest selection of sauces, but the sauces that they do have are delicious. They have seven levels of heat and even some of the "baby" levels are hot! I personally haven't made it past Atomic, so I guess I'm a bit of a wimp. Although I have to admit, I'm a big fan of Thai Zing and Fiery Garlic, so I tend to stay to those, since I can only seem to polish off 10 wings at a time here, they are so big! If I could only eat 15 for another flavor...LOL, maybe one day! Other Menu Items: One of the great things about this place is, its easy to convince others to come with you who aren't wing fans because they have other items on their menu that look good. I say look, because I've honestly never tried them, I have to rely on the people I've been with who have eaten the other items, because when I come here, I go for the wings every time! I've had other people rave about their salads, which I've tried bites of and yes where good, especially that Buffalo Tender Salad! They also have burgers and sandwiches which all look good too. There Finder Foods are your typical bar food items and worthy of going with your wings, like French Fries, Curly Fries, Garlic Fries, etc.... Again, thing Man Food! Ok, let's talk briefly about the Beer Taps! Again, this location has more Beer Taps than I've seen some of the bigger bars have. Being a bartender cold beer goes wonderfully with this type of food and hot wings, and their taps are just the right temperature! The guys there know about the beers, so if your looking for something special, they can direct you to the right kind! IPA's, Largers, Lights, Ales, what ever you want they will have it! This place gets super busy during lunch hour (which is when I normally come), so if your going to hit it during lunch come early or late. I can only imagine what happy hour looks like! I just might have to find out some day!!!

Did someone say happy hour, beer, and chicken wanggsss?!! Yes!! Not a big place as compared to the one in downtown SJ, but I like the convenience of easy parking, next to the movie theater if you want to grab a quick bite, and they show tons of sport games!! Just like the same location in SJ, they serve the same thing on the menu. Chicken wings aren't that special, but I love it when I can enjoy watching sports, drink beer and be with the right company. Overall, my go-to flavor is honey sriracha and honey honey bbq. Pretty good choices of beer. And lots of tv screens at every angle. Would I go back? Sure! :)

No customer service skills whatsoever. Called in to make an order and the person who picks up the phone answers, " smoke eaters, hold" did not get a chance to say anything... while being on hold I can still hear everything being said on the other side of the phone. When I arrived to pick up my order, the cashier, J G-Watson was really rude...no smile at all. I could tell that he was the person I had spoke to on the phone earlier through his tone and voice. If you don't like your job, quit. If you don't believe in good customer service, you are working in the wrong field. Not coming to this location anymore.

My bad, right. This ain't legacy collegiate chicken. This place is something of its own. More like fresh outta college first real job. So any memories of mouth firey drunken rowdy bliss, was quickly extinguished (pun) within the realm of way too many caricatures of the cubicle dwellers and IT warriors of Silicon Valley. In one 45 minute seating, there were at least 3 different incarnations of the bespecled, pony tailed techie. At least every 3rd customer in line was the the same. All white, but either fat, skinny, short, tall, etc. Some with a goatee. Some clean shaven. Pants, shorts...it didn't matter. Its like the bus from Eyeglass & Ponytail Land just pulled up and a bunch of these geeks had to use the can. At any rate, decent wings. I go traditonal and get served up fresh outta the fryer wings...2 drummettes and 3 flats (which I prefer anyways). Nothing to write home about, but good. The only exception is the celery which I find a tad insulting to be served mise en place instead of propper sticks. I get a side of cole slaw to, you know, push things out. A tastey concoction with generous flecks of cracked black pepper. All in all, not bad and perhaps not great either. You pretty much can tell this place probably gets slammed on the weekends. Bay Area professional sports are well represented as well as an array of flatscreens to keep you updated. Despite the name, only a handful of firefighter helmets are on the wall and those aren't even from local departments.

Omg $23 for 10 wings, fries, and a coke I should have taken that as a bad sign but I continued on my journey here. When talking to the i informed him I wanted medium wings he suggested I try atomic and de one below it so ok. Atomic does not sound like medium but it actually was! The second one was like bbq sauce, not what I want on wings. Their sauces are very thick and have a lot of body think ketchup here and not what any one from NY would call wings. If I served these to the family up there they might never let me in the house again. The wings where the biggest I have ever seen and for me bigger is not better on wings. It was like eating a small chicken breast! With wings this big I often find they have a slimy texture that makes me want to hurl. The garlic fries where good but after tasting the wings I really just wanted to get out of this place.

Good food. Good service & fast! Kayla was great. They had forgotten our 5'wings & she took care of the problem right away. Great customer service. Thanks to the guys for the birthday treat! Love it everytime I come here.

First off, I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this place. It's right around the corner from my house and the beer selection is amazing. Unfortunately, the service really kills it. I tried to give it a chance, chalking it up to new-ness those times I was ignored at the bar when they had only been open for a few weeks. Fast-forward almost a year now and I'm sorry to say the service STILL SUCKS. Tonight, I ordered 15 wings and 25 mins later, I'm asking the guy at the counter to check on it. He continues serving up other people's orders for another 5 mins until he finally clears the queue and stumbles on my order! At this point, it had been sitting there for a solid 15 mins and with the amount of sauce these guys lay on, it's pretty much game over for my wings. Anyways, I'm done here. Even if the service was just OK, I'd probably be happy with it since the food isn't too bad and the beer selection is good but at this point, I'd rather drive an extra 10 mins and upgrade to Bon Chon wings.

love this place..the staff is super friendly especially jermaine!!! they got a great selection of craft beer including chimay on tap(Belgium beer rocks) ...Thursdays are great for specials on beer and tenders

  • Emily T.

Ordered take out from here. The cashier was friendly. She suggested that any sauce spicer than the nuclear would taste better on the side to dip versus on top. The atomic wings weren't spicy but was a little sweet, the nuclear has a nice spice amount, the mango habanera has a nice mango flavor with a spicy kick similar to the traditional death. Wings came with celery, blue cheese and ranch. For 30 wings, everything came out to about $36.

I completed the challenge there so I wasn't feeling well afterward. The cook, bartenders, manager and any staff I may have forgotten were amazingly friendly and helped me get through the pain. Cool challenge. Try it, it's fun. I beat it so I got my picture taken and a t shirt. Aside from being super hot the wings were actually really good. Restaurant itself is very nice, clean, great ambiance, and a huge beer choice. Highly recommend.

Don't come here! The staff just looks at you when you come in and when your food is ready they just leave it on the counter. News flash: your job requires you to talk to customers! I've been here twice and both times I felt very uncomfortable to be there! The first time I had atomic wings and they were okay. Nothing special about it. Then today I decided to try the chicken tenders. BIG MISTAKE! The tenders at kfc are sadly better than here. Yeah the tenders are huge but the batter around the chicken is so gross! It has no flavor whatsoever! The worst tenders I have ever had! I'm done with this place. No service and terrible food.

The music and atmosphere is great. Flat screens facing every direction. Many brews and ciders on tap. We went with the burgers which would recommend you steer clear of. The side dishes i.e. garlic fries, poppers looked great. I am guessing what makes it go round is really a mix of the wings, salads, sides and brews. As for the burgers, stick to IN & OUT:)

This is my first and last time to visit this place, I have no idea why people like this place, it's expensive for what they offer (i'm talking about quality and service together), how difficult is to take an order behind a register and make a mistake, and if you are a busy business don't you think that is not ok to have plenty of dirty tables, just think that not all people like to eat on a dirty table ( and watching chicken bones, fries and napking all over the floor), no thanks.

  • Jessica L.

My review is mainly for the terrible service we receive any and every time we've visited this place. In the beginning we gave them the benefit if the doubt because the business was new and people were clearly training, but it's been open for quite some time now and the employees are still awful. Not only do they mess up orders constantly but most of them are incredibly rude. Especially one of the younger girls that works the register. My daughter and I stood in line, with nobody else in line, for a good 5 mins while she played with pieces of paper & chatted with another employee, not once did she look up and acknowledge that we were there (we were pretty obvious as I'm 6 months pregnant and my 2 year old was bouncing around) she didn't say she'd be right with us, she just ignored us, it wasn't until somebody else walked up and asked if we had been helped that we finally received service. When our food was ready I asked this same girl if they had ketchup to which she rudely mumbled, again without even making eye contact, something I couldn't even hear, and walked away! I asked her to repeat it and she yelled "it's AT your table!" I was so offended by this persons rude attitude. When the rest of my party arrived, each of them had their own experience with the "rude girl behind the counter" she was being a b***h to everyone! People like her should not be in customer service. From now on I will drive a bit further and dine at Wing Stop, where the customer service is always great and the food is always delicious. To smoke eaters management, please get a handle on your ridiculous employees!

First timer, my boss recommended the chicken strips. 3 pieces is good enough trust me! The chicken strips are huge! I had the traditional sauce. It was so yummy with ranch dip. Onions rings were perfect. They have a lot of the daily specials which are good value. Tuesdays are $0.69 bone in wings all day. Those were some big wings too. There's like 50 selections of tap beers. This is a great spot to catch the 49ers game this year! I'll be back!

We just happened to be in the area and decided to try this place put. The wings were big and pretty good. What was lacking was the service. I don't know why but if you are going to be in the service sector - greeting customers and smiling goes a long way. I hate it when person servicing has this look on their face that makes you feel like they can't be bothered with you. Also it took us about 25 mins to get our order. A bit of long wait for a place that is not even busy.

Came in tonight at around 8:30 to order some wings for takeout. I ordered 25 piece garlic Parmesan. I am a wing nut. I've had wings from lots of different establishments. I hail from Houston, Texas and am here for training with my work. The order came out within 10-15 minutes. The person who presented me the takeout order was very nice. When I got back to the hotel, I enjoyed the best wings I've ever had. I know that this is a bold statement. The wings seemed to have been dusted in seasoned flour prior to frying. I love a light coating on my wings, and Smoke Eaters did it perfectly. The size of the wings were very generous. I was really surprised when I found minced garlic as part of the garlic Parmesan seasoning. This was awesome. I was so excited that I texted my best friend about it too. My wife and son really enjoyed them too. The order came with ample cups of ranch dressing and celery sticks. I'm going to see you guys back in a couple of days before I return home. Thanks for having wonderful wings. I don't know why all the negative reviews, but I love this place.

I don't prefer spicy food so wasn't my cup of tea. But all my buddies said it was good so I'll take their word for it. Diverse levels of spiciness and sauces. Prices were above average. Clean and has good service.

This tend to be our Friday Lunch spot at work You definitely have to get there early aka before 1130 if you want to get a seat inside haha The ONLY qualm i have about this place is you have to pay $.30 for extra ranch and so forth - so make sure you order extra dippings before you pay! Food is delicious - drinks are plenty! You will love the selection of beer :) unfortunately im not adventurous when it comes to beer and i like my coors light haha OVERALL - i think ill be back THIS friday!

Wings are one of my many many food weaknesses and I enjoy gorging every once in a while. I've been to the SmokeEaters downtown San Jose and I had a good experience when I went there about over a year ago. This one however... though the food was mediocre and basically the same as the other locations what got me was the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and staff personnels. I went a few weeks after the grand opening expecting to get my grub on and was also thinking it was going to be packed (it was empty). The guy working the cashier was great and super friendly and took our order. The part that made a real turn is when our food was ready and it was wrong. I went back up the the same cashier and told him about it and he said no problem I'll get you your order. A young girl (whom I think was another co-worker) under her breath said something to him that I couldn't hear and gave me a horrible look. He then said back to her, "customer always comes first" or something along the lines of that. Soon after I see the cashier being walked outside the front of the restaurant by the Assistant Manager and getting yelled/lectured at! I was disgusted and afterwards asked the cashier if I got him in trouble. He said it was okay and not to worry about it, but it just made me realize that this chain has just AWFUL AND HORRIBLE MANAGERS, thus horrible customer service besides the guy who helped us. Since then I have never been back and don't intend to ever.

good location with alot of seats. i only come here on tuesdays tho for the 65 cent wings :D a great deal. I get the wings here with the sauce on the side because it leaves them crispy even as leftovers :D. just keep in mind it does get pretty packed and i docked a star because they forgot about my order and i had to go up and ask what happened only for them to look confused...

SmokeEaters is a wonderful place! I just had a fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society there, huge success. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful, I spent 9 hours there without realizing it. Service is spot on, they make great recommendations, and fun conversation. Got so many different ways to eat your chicken! And the fries are delish - not soggy or oily. And they have a ridiculous amount of beers on tap. Ahhhh-mazing. Everyone that came out for the fundraiser said that we should come back here regularly, we had such a great time. Good service, good food, good ambience, what else could you want? I think they should consider expanding, the place gets PACKED. Definitely check it out

The wings are good. Don't get me wrong. That's what I come for! The service however ...is lacking. Each time I've been there has been some hiccup. My most recent experience; I called in an order for pickup. 15 minutes later I arrived to pickup and they had no record of me ordering it. "Oh... What was your order? You said you called that in? Who did you speak to?" So I sat and waited as they prepped it. 25 minutes passed, and finally! My buzzer went off. I go to the counter to pick it up and it's on a tray. For dine in. I explained that it was a TO GO order. The manager goes in back and yells at the staff to "pay attention". Five more minutes pass as they're packaging my food to go and finally they handed me my order. No coupon or effort to make up for the lost order or 40 minute fiasco. When I got home a lot of the sauce was gone. Must have been left on the plate it was originally served on.

Good food, but it is the service that keeps me coming back. The staff took the time to learn my name, and are so personable that it makes for a great experience. A bunch of tv's makes it a great place to watch sports or just hang out before or after a movie. The beer selection is diverse and always rotating so it is worth coming back time and time again. Everytime I come here, I feel welcome and the tenders are fantastic. Personal recommendation is to get the honey siracha and or the Thai zing sauces. If you're not into the tenders or wings I suggest go for the tri tip or pulled pork sliders, they are super tasty.

Imagine Buffalo Wild Wings with worse food. In a strip mall. Next to the 101. Where you order at the counter / bar in a confusing manner. They had a good selection of beer. The "super nachos" were in a giant bowl and had lumps of stuff thrown on top in a you-can-really-just-make-this-at-home-and-save kind of way. Blech! If it weren't for the beer there would be no reason to visit.

Full bar, wings and TVs playing everything from the usual to MMA fights and soccer. I dig this place, just wish they had a patio or more space inside. Kinda crammed inside. I choose SmokeEaters over Wing Stop any day.

DIPPING SAUCE (RANCH / BLUE CHEESE) $.50 EACH?!?! I came here with a group of 5 people at lunch. All of us couldn't believe that after spending between $13-$17 bucks each for our wings this place has the balls to try and get you for dressing to dip your wings in. WE WON'T BE BACK YOU STUPID, GREEDY, OWNER WHO IS RUNNING THIS JOINT! C-YA!!

I loveee Thai Zing wings! I recommend coming here on a Tuesday, because they have $0.65 wings, which normally cost around a dollar for one! The wings are good, but their customer service could be better. My cashier acted like she didn't want to be there at all! It's not my fault you applied for the job!

For this to be a new place. I was very disappointed. I came in July 24th at around 11:15pm. I saw that Smoke Eaters closed at midnight online. All the chairs were flipped up on the tables the 'Open' sign was turned off. We walked in and asked "Are you guys open?" They told us "yes." So we continued to walk on in! When ordering I made a comment to the guys that i felt bad because the kitchen was all clean and the would have to dirty it again because of us. One of the guys reassured me it was okay by saying " its okay, they know we dont close until 12." We ordered three wings and some sliders and drinks. The total was about $20. The guy then asked out loud to his coworkers "was tip included?" (Really!! Your that thirsty for tips!). My boyfriend was going to leave a tip at the table! After we left. We then began our wait for the food. It was 11:30pm when they gave us our food TO-GO! (We didn't want our food to-go. ). I thought you guys closed at 12pm ? Thank you for making us feel unwanted! My boyfriend then left no tip! NOW once we got home to eat our food. We both said "this food is nasty!" My sliders and fries tasted microwaved. My sliders had no flavor at all! For the guy to recommend the sliders and for them to taste that bad is horrible! They fries tasted disgusting! My boyfriend said his chicken was not good! He also mention the Smoke Eaters downtown san Jose would NEVER do this! It all makes sense why the guy told me " its okay, they know we don't close until 12." Because he knew they wouldn't dirty the grill at all. We literally both said "McDonald's would taste better than this!" And we don't like McDonald's. Don't think I will be back after this experience! Nor recommend this place. I wish I could get my money back.

This place needs serious, SERIOUS work. I came in with a couple of friends on a Friday night for some wings and beer. They were busy but there were a number of available tables. The atmosphere was nice - well-appointed decorations and plenty of TV's. First off, you order your beer at the bar, not with your food. Ok, fine, except then you have to pay for it at the same register that people are standing in line for food at. What? Next up, homeboy at the register could NOT figure out how to complete my order. At one point, I stated clearly what I was ordering, and he just stared at me blankly (no, there was no language barrier). After a couple minutes of him just holding my debit card and staring at the screen, the manager let me know that I now had a tab open and that I could close out later. Dude, TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES. My friend ordered the chicken strips (battered breast meat, not wings). When they came out, they were room temperature, not hot, or even warm. Bro, if you're gonna let them sit for a few minutes because you can't get our orders out together, AT LEAST PUT THEM UNDER A HEAT LAMP. On top of that, they were not seasoned at all and they were dry. I get that it's about the sauce, but your chicken should be good enough to eat by itself. My friend is not a picky eater, and these were eventually thrown out. I had Original Death, which was pretty good. My other friend ordered the mango habanero and those were actually hotter than the ones I ordered. Garlic Fries were no good, basically pre-chopped garlic and parsley in oil that someone clumped a spoon of over some fries. Couldn't we at least toss the fries so it's coated evenly? Once again, under-seasoned. The only bright spots are the great selection of beers on tap and huge TV's everywhere. Which leads me to say I think it's got lots of potential. And I'd like to see it fulfilled! It's in a convenient spot and I'd love to be able to come here and catch games. This is my first 1-star review ever I really look forward to the day I can update it with something much higher. Good luck.

WORSE Place ever! Service was awful! Kid at the register cleaned our table then served food! Garlic fries were soaked with raw garlic!! And my chicken tenders were thicker than my chicken sandwich! (Posted pics)! The bacon was just about raw! Wont be coming back here anytime soon or even ever! Worse choice ever.

Place is ran by a bunch of delinquents that have no idea what they're doing. Ordered a 10 wing order and the cashier rang me up for 2 5 wing orders where a friend I had came with was charged for a single 10 wing order. I brought this up to the cashier because two 5 wing orders costed a little extra, I asked politely if he could redo my order, instead of voiding the ticket he pulled out a dollar from his pocket and offered me the dollar instead of voiding the order....WHAT?? Do they even train their employees on how to operate the registers correctly? Also a couple that was sitting next to our group complained about their fries being very soggy, instead of offering a new order, they asked the couple if they wanted the fries to be refried so it could be more crispy...WHAT??? Do not come to this location!

I've been to this Smokeeaters twice as I usually come here after work. I've always been a big fan of their wings so I was really excited when this location finally opened! I don't see why there are so many bad reviews, my first time here I wanted to try something different other than their wings and the cashier gladly informed me what else they had. Their chicken tenders are amazing!!! I was scared that they were going to be small and really breaded but they give big pieces and the choice to whether you want the sauce on/off My favorite flavor here is Atomic even though it seems like it would be hot there's a nice sweet taste to it. Also try their honey BBQ if you prefer something not spicy! Also the environment in here is really nice, they have a bunch of TVs and 49er pictures on the wall. Overall, I gave them 4 stars just because it does take awhile for their food to come out and my bf said he didn't like the cashiers attitude towards him but other than that I would definitely come back :)

I think I left my review on the wrong yelp location so I'm moving it here: I am so happy there is a location closer to mountain view! I actually poked my head in the day they had their soft opening. The owner let me in hours before they opened the doors, I got to see them putting the final touches on the place- very welcoming staff, eager to get running. I've been back half a dozen times since. The wings are still the best in the bay area, a ton of beer on tap (45+), and not a bad place to sit or stand inside or outside- clear view of TVs everywhere. Very happy they're open for football season! I'm surprised at how negative people are being, they haven't even officially opened until today (8/10), just been a soft opening. Obviously they are training new staff which takes a couple weeks to learn systems and procedures. Lighten up already. The place is spotless, the staff has an extremely positive attitude and is fun to interact with, absolutely everything is brand new. I brought a group of a dozen people for a networking happy hour for the niners game with absolutely 0 concerns about quality of food or service. It was everyone's first time there except me, all of the attendees made mention they can't wait to do it again- which we will soon!

Come here for chicken wings and chicken strips and their wide selection of craft beers on tap. Tuesday is wings night and Thursday is chicken strips night. Burgers and sandwiches are not that great here. Stick to the chicken.

I have been coming to this Smoke Eaters almost daily since it opened about one year ago and I've got nothing but love for this place. The craft beer selection is amazing. Probably the best in the South Bay area aside from Harry's Hofbrau in Saratoga and O'Malley's Sports Pub in Mtn. View. The food is always great. The staff, once they learn the ropes, are super accommodating, especially if you're a regular. Now-I will say that the day crew are better at servicing the customer than the evening folks overall but if you have a problem with the service, talk to Josh or Jermaine (during the day) or Walt (during the evening shift) and your concerns will be heard and improvements will be made. Also... If you've had less than adequate service in the past, give Smoke Eaters another shot. Most likely, you won't have the same experience again.

Wow, seems people love or hate this place. We visited on Aug 1, late afternoon with a group of about 10 from my office. They have a very nice selection of beers on tap for being such a small place. Seems like it would be a great place to get some wings and watch a game. We sampled a couple of different types of their wings, which were very good, and we also had fries, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, etc. Everything was pretty decent for bar food. It was a little inconvenient that you had to order and pay at the counter first, but other than that we liked the place and will go back.

The service at this sucks. The food is great but the management needs to teach the staff how to respect the costumers.

Overall this place is kind of meh. I did expect more, but it's really just more of a bar which happens to serve deep fried chicken wings and other bar food.. They had a really impressive amount of taps, which they happen to serve by the gallon if you roll that way. Speaking of rolling, that is what you'll be doing if you eat here regularly. The wings are good, but they are fried and most everything else seems to be your typical american junk food options. Cheese sticks, nachos, wings etc. Pretty sure I saw the cardiologist stop by and drop of a gumball machine and a stack of business cards. I was definately dissapointed at the heat level. I had meetings all day the next day, but still felt like rolling the dice a little and playing fast and loose with the lower intestine. That said, I was all in for the feared "hell fire" challenge. Regrettably that will have to wait for another day, as they were all out of habeneros that night. I opted instead for the Inferno wings, which I felt were a joke. It's similar to a jar of frank's red sauce, however their version tastes a bit better. The teryaki sauce was delicious however. I'm good only for a place like this every 12 mo or so, my stomach is still wrecked from the experience. If you don't eat this way normally you're going to feel this for a bit.

Just came back to try the food. Was not impressed with the service. Their ice tea machine was broken, no sign indicating it was not. Told them it was out of ice tae and that's when he said it was not working. I said well I can't have anything else, I'm a diabetic so I'll just have water. I had to ask for my money back (wasn't offered). Also I asked for sauce on the side but they mixed it anyways. Wasn't impressed. Perhaps the service would be better if the guy wasn't so busy watching TV and texting and pay more attention to the customers. Overall, nothing great about the place. I will only return if a friend wants to come eat here. I'm also being generous for even giving them 2 stars.

I'd give a NEGATIVE one if I could. Hubby actually had time off today, so we met there for lunch. Negatives- Ambience: Tables are all set for 6-tops, and clearly most diners were in groups of 4 or less. We sat at the very end of the "tall seating table", so to leave room for others to join in the super long table... a group of 6 sat at the other end, but awkwardly left 6 seats in the middle that no one took. Music was blaring and the bass was too deep, leaving the tables vibrating with bad resonance...... Negatives- Servers: They have onion rings, sweet potato fries, etc on the menu, but if you order a burger (fries are included) they REFUSE to upgrade you, even for a buck or two, to something other than "fries, beans or slaw". "Is the slaw fresh?" "sure is'... UM nope, it was bad bagged shieet that was runny and left me wishing for the soggy fries my hubby had. Negatives- Food: We mistakenly ordered 2 burgers- identical (the one with an onion ring, bbq sauce, cheese, etc.....) Hubs said "rare" I said medium well"... they came out both, exactly, well done to a crisp. Gee thanks. Aforementioned runny slaw and soggy fries. Sheesh. Just skip this place, and stay with St. Johns for a way better burger, better ambience, and people who are glad you came!

Unfortunately I was disappointed with my visit here. The cashier was seemingly knowledgeable about the menu and different types of sauces, but wasn't very friendly, on the verge of intimidating a decision out of you. I ended up ordering a combo of wings and tenders with several sauces. Once the food was served, it was immediately apparent that the wings were not fresh. They looked like they had been under the heat lamp for hours and/or were previously frozen. They reminded me of wings at a 7-11 that had been sitting out all day. The chicken tenders were quite large and overall pretty decent, so along with their wide selection of beers and sauces they get a second star. For a place focusing on wings on claiming to be the "Biggest Wings in the Bay", I would expect to get top notch wings, but the reality is I've had better frozen wings from the grocery store. Very disappointed.

Forget wingstop and bww this is the spot to go. The wings are HUGE all of them not just one or two. Fresh onion rings and fries, and over 40 beer selections

Skip this place if you are a Buffalo Wing fan. "Original" had no flavor, Garlic Parmesan was pathetic. Unless you just want beer and fries, give this place a shot.

First impression means everything. Absolutely huge disappointment at the service. We sat down at the bar and the waitress looked at us and didn't even greet. We asked if we could order here and she said "yea" and turned the other way. Another waiter came in...no eyes contact with us yet stared at the TV's...we asked him if we could order and he said "yea"...I said to myself "WTF is this? !" Seriously would NEVER RETURN!

This review is for their wings only! We ordered three flavors: Honey BBQ Fiery Garlic Traditional First, they absolutely drench Honey BBQ on anything you order it on - like globs and globs of it. The flavor of the Honey BBQ isn't great either. The fiery garlic has good flavor but its SUPER spicy. Traditional is ok. I think the wings themselves weren't crispy enough. They came out, not cold, but lukewarm, and soggy, from all the sauce.

In my defense I have NEVER written a negative review about any establishment or anyone. The Smoke Eaters in DTSJ was my go to for lunch and it was awesome! This place, not so much. Firstly the bar was empty and very dirty. Secondly the music selection was HIGHLY inappropriate with many profane lyrics being played. I made mention of it to the short little man with a beard but he didn't care. He was more interested in joking and saying how 'good' the rest of the crew tasted. Oh wow! Walter was kind enough to change my order but lacked customer service skills when he offered plastic utensils. I bawked and asked for silverware...he laughed and said they are all being washed. So I got pissed. I asked him if he was just hanging out or if he worked there. He said he was just hanging out. I said good...I'm leaving. He must have said buh-bye 7 times. I'm sure management will be happy to know that their waitstaff hang around and say 'I don't give a fuck' constantly in front of patrons. Perhaps never spending any $$$ there will be reward enough.

Looks like I am not the only one having trouble with customer service. Ordered some food here with 5 other friends. I ordered my food, and attempted to pay in cash. I was a little short on cash, so I offered to put the rest on my card. Instead of just doing that, the cashier decided to ask about half a dozen people within five feet of him if they had some spare change for me...awkward...now I feel like a dope. It isn't like I couldn't afford the order, I just didn't want to put the entire amount on my card. Anyways, everyone else's food comes out relatively quick. I ordered a similar plate of food as my buddies "nachos", but for some reason mine did not come out as fast. I decided to PATIENTLY wait near the counter where food was being passed out. I was not glaring at the workers or anything; just patiently waiting and watching what ever is on TV. Then, the cashier shouts at me "do you have your order shaker? (the thing that vibrates when food is ready, can't remember the name of it). I say "yes". He says sarcastically "well are you just going to stand there?? You can go back to your table". I respond sarcastically "Am I allowed to stand here, or is that against your rules?" Then he just snickers and shakes his head, and goes and sits down with his friends or whoever at the bar. I continue to stand there waiting, and I look over, and this guy is now just glaring at me from across the room! What a clown! Overall I couldn't believe how rude and awkward the whole situation was. FINALLY when my food was ready (my buddies were done with there food at this point), my order came out WRONG! The same cashier as before looks at it and just says, "I don't think this is right..." but I just grab it and walk off. I won't be back to this location ever again. Customer service is horrible. Plus, this chain of restaurants is absolutely overpriced and the food is so-so. Go to Wingstop!

Food was not good, the cashier rang us up wrong for garlic fries, corrected the order and we still end up with regular fries from the kitchen. I know this place is new and all but the food was even bland and not fresh feasting at all. Santa Clara is WAY better by far Save your time and money. Find something else around the area that will satisfy your hunger

Great Great location for the area, plenty of working folk attend for the happy hour and to watch games. I'm usually not a big fan of the food inside these types of places but every once in a while its cool. Happy hour snack deals are great. It's great to have mini corn dogs or fries to have with your beer. A better than average selection of choice beer on tap. Last time I was here the cashier said they didn't have any happy hour specials going on.... my friend sat at the bar and I asked the same question to the bartender and she said they did. Service consistency FAIL! I didn't care that much, I'll still give them 3 stars.

Good food and an awesome selection of beer. Great place to watch the game or the fight. Only downside is that a ton of people feel the same way. So get there early if you and your buddies want to make sure you get a seat!

I stopped into Smoke Eaters around 6 pm on a Wednesday night because my bf wanted to try it. The restaurant was probably 3/4 full and pretty busy for the dinner rush. The wings were ok but I think they would've been better if they were seasoned with some salt and pepper while being fried. I thought the sauces were mediocre but my top choices were ranch and fiery garlic. (The mango habanero was nasty! - way too sweet). I also ordered garlic fries which were soggy, probably because of the undrained garlic and garlic juices they poured over them. Overall I don't think the food was anything I'd crave. The main reason I gave this place a one is because the service definitely needs to be improved on since everyone was so slow! Even though I came in around dinnertime I saw 4 or 5 chefs in the back and there were 3 or 4 more employees in the front. The entire dining area was filthy with dirty plates and napkins everywhere so there weren't any clean tables to sit at. I even noticed people clearing dirty tables themselves so they could sit down while they waited for their food. I went to the movies and after 2.5 hours I passed by Smoke Eaters on my way to my car and noticed dirty plates and napkins on empty tables again. I'm sure those plates and napkins weren't sitting there for 2.5 hours but by 10:30 pm the dinner rush should've been done so the tables should've been cleared faster. If my bf didn't wanted to try this place I wouldn't have ever agreed to go into a restaurant with so many dirty, empty tables. Gross!!!

I MADE A YELP ACCOUNT JUST TO REVIEW THIS PLACE. I'm just going to go straight to the point and say the service is terrible. The servers/cashiers are quite disrespectful and unenthusiastic. And it's odd to me because the ambiance of the place is very lively.. even the customers are 100000x friendlier! I will never go back to the cashiers for service again, it's really unpleasant and after being in the food industry for several years, I know what good customer service is like. I just go straight to the bar.. gimme me wings and beer! pls? There is hope for this place tho. The beer selection is good. Music is very loud. Lots of TVs to watch games. New bartender was extremely friendly. Wings are pretty tasty. Favorite is Thai Zing. But I really can't get over the service.. I just wonder how they got hired!

I was really excited when this place opened up. Ive had the same thing twice and both times I was disappointed. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Maybe one of these days I will try something else, but not any time soon. The spot itself is cool and has TVs throughout.

Excellent customer service from the night crew!!!! I made an account just to write this review. I stop by smoke eaters every night on my way home from work and It's a great place to grab a beer and relax. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the management is awesome. I have never had any problems at smoke eaters and I highly recommend bringing a few friends and family to come by. Perfect place to be at if you like beer, sports, and food!

Awesome chicken. Honestly, the chicken tenders here are my favorite chicken tenders anywhere. Three fried chicken tenders with sauce for like 5 bucks is worth it when the chicken is super fresh and lean and crunchy. The sauces are the main attraction i think, but although they are all good, they don't vary too much. They are all sweet, and they are all hot, obviously the hottest one is hotter than the mildest, but in between those, it would be difficult to determine where the other ones should actually be on the scale, and none of them really have their own distinct flavors. That is just my taste buds though, maybe you can pick out the complexities that go over my head. The beer selection is generally pretty awesome with a wealthy variety of craft beers, especially at the one in santa clara. The big screens are big but a little too high and angled if you're at the bar. Cool place to watch the sharks. Basically the chicken is awesome, the sauces are great (but all pretty similar and sweet), and the vibe is very much like a laid back sports bar. Cons: none

Just walked out of there. Descent enough atmosphere but when I asked them email to bus a table the guy just took everything off and did a couple of wipes with a dry napkin. Crap left all over it. Very poor service.

From the moment we stepped in, we had to go from one table to another table since all of them were dirty (I'm talking about visible spots of ketchup, sauce and some liquid likely to be beer or soda). The quesadilla is made of some gross cheese that's extra oily, so much so that the quesadilla was dripping oil. We only had one bite each, and left almost all of it. The chicken wing sauce is too sweet and too oily, so it's basically ruined perfectly good chicken wings. The employees were not doing their job (cleaning the tables and floor, for example), but they made sure that we noticed their presence by giving us awkward looks as we were eating. A guy threw up outside the place when we were waiting for our food, and 30 minutes later when we were leaving, and finally understood what one of the employees was doing by going in and out of the restaurant repeatedly carrying a pocket filled with water: trying to clean up mess one pitcher of water at a time (of course, the mess was still visible on the curb, and they didn't seem worried at all about finishing cleaning up). NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN.

I love coming to this place because of where I live. I love beer. I love wings and fries so it's a win win... win! The only reason I have it 4 stars is because the wings actually suck. They're breaded and huge. The sauce is thick and just SUMERGED in it. Order your wings crispy and light sauce and you should be in a good position but apparently some people like their wings the way they are. I'm more of the order-my-wings-from-Buffalo, NY kind of guy. If you like sports, beer, and bar food, I recommend this place

So I've been to this location plenty of times before and have never had an issue. Yesterday night though I walked in with a positive attitude until I got to the register. I had to deal with the rudest girl ever! I didn't get her name but I can describe her perfectly for you. Ugly, septum piercing,Mexican, with bad eyebrows. Lol. It was literally so bad to the point where I wanted to do actual damage to this female. Not only was this girl giving me dirty looks from head to toe but she was talking shit about me to all her fellow co workers. Body language can tell a whole lot. I was with a group of 3 friends and we all saw what she was doing. Acting like an immature little girl. I am still furious about this. I posted it to my Instagram and Facebook and my friends have came out and said that they've also had encounters with this female. Not only that but when I spoke to the manager he said the same. "We've had problems with her in the past" umm ok so fire her ass and give someone else a job. Point blank period it was the worst experience ever. The management at this location needs to take some disciplinary actions on this girl. Not cool to have a stank ass attitude towards customers that are are friendly and polite up until you act like a bitch. Staff at smoke eaters seriously? She doesn't deserve this job. This place would get a higher rating if she wasn't apart of your crew.

Service was just fine as I read that was a problem with others. Food is average but the setting is nice with plenty of screens. Main reason for the beat down is a fifty cents charge for a tiny plastic up of bbq sauce. Is that necessary?

I have great things to say about this establishment. Great art work (Kap, Rice, Montana, etc. signed jerseys) Plenty of TVs to view the games. Quick service and the foods great. Josh was very cool. I didn't catch her name but the reciept said waiter 38, she was friendly and iinviting. I'll bring my family and friends here. If I have to leave the house to see a game, this is were you'll find me.

This new smokeeaters does not live up to the others. Like everyone mention before me, they mess up on the orders a lot. 3 different ordered all messed up on. We ended up getting 5 free wings, but that doesn't make up for the service. Place looks nice though if that helps any.

Food: Mediocre. I had the sliders with garlic fries. Garlic fries were good, the sliders, eh, they were ok. Service: Sucked. Didn't get greeted upon entrance, she looked like she didn't want to be there and just wasn't very pleasant. Specifically told the cashier that I'd have my sliders with no tomatoes (allergic) and the burger comes out with tomatoes. She didn't make too big of a deal about it as I didn't make too much of a big deal, but man, the cook at the window did. I then got irritated because he was talking loud and didn't seem pleased that I had returned the burger so I said forget it as I'd just take it as it was without plans of eating it. But the garlic fries were on point. :) Tip: You can go else where for mediocre food with even better service. I should've listened to some of these reviews as they did talk about the really crummy service. You've been warned.

Great Friday night place...great Saturday night place...fantastic game night place. My husband and I came in on a Friday night, it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. We sat at the bar and were promptly approached by Curtis. He was fantastic, offering us a 'tour' of their vast selections of beers on tap. We had so much fun sampling the brews and were very pleased with our selections. We ordered some nachos (tasty) and of course their buffalo wings, which don't ever fail to satiate my husband's carnivore taste buds. Loved Curtis' ingratiating attitude the entire evening, and his eagerness to give us the best experience. Love how it is in the same plaza as the AMC movie theater, will definitely be making this our one-stop before movie nights.

Convenient location for grabbing some bites after the movies, but the food was not so great. We had the cheeseburger sliders and the nuclear wings. My boyfriend didn't say much about the taste of the cheeseburger sliders. It came with two sliders and some fries, but for the price, it was not worth it. The fries were stale tasting and hard, like it was recooked. The wings were overcooked so the chicken meat was dry. I wasn't a fan of the buffalo sauce either. I asked the cashier what sauce would be closest to the traditional buffalo sauce flavor but with some more kick to it, so he recommended the Nuclear. It is more sweet and spicy flavored than tangy and spicy, but the fact that the wings were overcooked is a big no-no in my book. The lay out of the place is cool, lots of TVs and have both bar and regular seating sections, but I wouldn't want to come here again for wings. I'm a big buffalo wings fan and this place gets a thumbs down.

I have been to the one in downtown San Jose and did not have any complaints. I went today to the new one near mission college and it was the worst. I ordered the chicken tenders, and I did not like them at all. The batter for the tenders was gross and the Atomic sauce also tasted bad. And on a side note about the service and people that work here. I have never been in a food service environment where I got sick to my stomach from one of the employees attire. There was a young guy wearing a red hat backwards. He also had some blue jeans that were sagging half way his butt. If that wasn't bad enough, while I was eating he approached the table in front of me, to clean the table. He bent over, and he was sagging so low I saw most of his butt through his boxers. Needless to say, I could not enjoy my dinner after that. It's to bad because this would be a great place to watch a game and enjoy a drink, but unless this company enlists higher standards for employee uniforms I will never return.

I wasn't too thrilled with this place. The noise level and crowded tables I understand, it's a Sunday and the Niners were playing. I got the California Chicken sandwich. It was OK at the most. There was nothing about it that made it awesome it memorable and make me want to come back again. But at least I tried the place.

I went there Sunday afternoon ordered five wingers , fries and a salmon burger. There was nobody in line and the restaurant was not even busy. So I placed my order and after about 15minutrd I went to the counter and ask for my order, I told the guy at the counter that about 15minuted had gone by and my order was not nearly ready, his response was " yeah it usually takes that long to cook the food." I said ok, I waited about another 15 minute, still no order. At this point I'm really upset, I go back and ask what's going on, the guy at the counter checks and the order is still not ready. I told him I wanted my money back and cancel my order, even after that he still has the nerve to ask if I would just like the food to go. I said no and requested a refund, just to get a refund it took another five minutes, I mean come on, it's not like they had one hundred customers to serve. after this whole ordeal I did not even get an apology. Seriously, were they still trying to catch the salmon, or raise the chicken?, that after almost 40 minutes they could not get an order ready or even apologize for making a mistake.

This branch is fairly new and definitely not as big as the downtown branch but it's still just as good. I haven't came in on their busy days (Tuesdays, Thursdays) so I can't say how packed it gets compared to downtown. I like this branch though! It's convenient for me since I attend Mission. I can now grab a beer before class!

Tongue on Fire (with apologies to Alicia Keyes....) It's my poor tongue, and it's on fire! Hotter than the sun's surface, burning like a jet engine.... Smokeaters hot wings set my tongue on fire - A cooking catastrophe, cloaked in marketing spin, spin, spin! Ow-ow-ow-ow! I'm jumping up and down, And running all around! Ow-ow-ow-ow! Need flame retardant to drown, That fiery garlic sauce down! My tongue is on fire, My tongue is on fire, To hide Costco chicken, My tongue is on fire! Looks like chicken, but can't quite tell, So bland, perhaps it's really pigeon; Best to hide it in hot sauce! You can try but it's really got no taste or smell, Best to hide it in hot sauce! So Smokeater's customers will say: "Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow! We're jumping up and down, And running all around! Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow! Need flame retardant to drown That atomic hot sauce down!" My tongue is on fire, My tongue is on fire, To hide Costco chicken, My tongue is on fire! Everybody stands, as I rush by, 'Cause they can see the flaming pain in my eyes, If I breathe on them, they might ignite! Nobody knows that my tongue's now well-done, Can't really taste a thing, Not their Costco salad, not their greasy fries! My tongue is on fire, My tongue is on fire, To hide Costco chicken, My tongue is on fire! Ow-ow-ow-ow..... It's my poor tongue, and its on fire....

When I first moved here, I tried the SmokeEaters in San Jose. Apparently, I didn't really get the flavor concept. Since the Santa Clara one opened, I've been there three or four times. The Inferno flavor is really really really good. I wish they offered the Hellfire wings without the competition aspect...I like savoring my food.

Ate here on Friday the 13th and it was okay. Nothing special, but not terrible. The sauce is on the sweeter side, which I personally prefer the more vinegar tasting sauces. The wings were cooked nicely though. Although nice, the servers could do better. They weren't very knowledgable of the heat factor in regards to the sauces, or of anything else. It's a cool atmosphere though and I'll prob go back to watch a game sometime.

This is probably my third time eating here and the food is OK.. nothing special. Ive had way better wings. The food always takes forever and their is ghetto people working here that have major attitudes. One of the ghetto guys even changed into his work shirt in the parking lot with no shirt on?? REALLY?? COME ON PEOPLE WE ARE TRYING TO EAT! When I was having dinner with my family a sweet lady asked a short dude at the bar if he can turn the tv on NBA playoffs and then he announced to the whole restaurant that the sharks game will be playing on all the tvs. MIND YOU ITS THE PLAYOFFS and I thought this was what smoke eaters was about besides wings and beer, SPORTS????? Then the guy goes around auto tuning EVERY tv to the sharks game. I really hope the OWNER reads this. The only good thing I have to say about this place is that they have a GREAT beer selection and clean restrooms, thats about it....

Came in last week for a quick dinner and beer. Atomic wings were amazing! Beer amazing! Quick dinner = not so quick. Fortunately there are 10 mins of previews. We will definitely be back again, just not for something quick ;-).

Honestly, I love smoke eaters. But the one on Santa Clara has terrible customer service. The bartender(guy in the bar) forgot my drink, who the hell does that. To top it all off the guy cleaning the table was bending over and I could see all his boxers, wtf. ....... The people working their have no experience with customers, period. I like Cupertino better which sucks because I live really close to Santa Clara one. But I much rather drive to Cupertino.

SmokeEaters does a poor job on packing take-outs. In my oder was cheese sticks and before leaving I asked if the Marinara sauce was packed. They assured me it was in the bottom of the brown bag, but was no where to be found.

Hubby and I decided to give this place a try since they opened very recent. It's another hangout bar that sells buffalo wings with different levels hot. Not too impressed with the staff. They barely knew what was included in the meals. Though, it is somewhat tasty. For quality food, I'll go elsewhere but to "hang out with friends", it's ok. Will I come by here again? Meh........maybe.

I've been to all the SmokeEaters, but boyfriend and I agree, we like the vibe of this one the most. It's been open for about a month, so we were worried whether the food would be up to par--but really, it's on point. I should clarify, we only come for wings and beer. So all the other reviews that are bashing food should consider where you're going... A place known for chicken wings. We love LOVE all the craft beers on tap, we found the service to be friendlier than other locations and the staff was helpful with beer selections, so really nothing to complain about. A side note: would be helpful to have a board with current tap selections, though they had an old print out. They clean up tables more frequently than the Cupertino location and have a bigger bar area to sit with plenty of TVs. We always get Thai Zing and inferno and the sauces were great, wings fried to a crisp. We are happy campers especially since this is closer to home!

Love the location - the boneless chicken strips are AWESOME! We ordered 9 strips, and between my husband and I could NOT finish them all! I also really liked that the batter was not salty at all on the chicken strips - it really allowed the sauces to shine! Would have given 5 stars, had they not completely run out of the 2 beers I requested. Had to get something I didn't like.

The wings and burger we had were very tasty. However, I felt that the the burger patty could be larger; too much bun for the small patty. I really felt like this place is over priced. Almost $6 for 5 piece wings. Should be more like $3.99. I have a problem paying over $1 per tiny wing.

Food is okay - not great but not too bad. It is not $10 quality. Stuff is friendly - 3 stars mostly for them - food alone would be 2 stars. Uttam

$12 for a flight of 4 beers THAT YOU CHOOSE. Amazing choice of crafts brews on tap to choose from. Decent service, totally making this my new hangout

They have only been opened two weeks but they need to get their act together. I went in today for lunch and ordered my friend's, kid's and my food. When I ordered a kids corn dog bites kids meal for one of my kids I asked the guy taking the order if I could just order corn dogs and not a whole kids meal for my second child since I didn't want that many fries, he said,"no" and I was ok with that and just ordered a second kids meal. When their order came I only had the corn dogs. I asked the lady (young girl) where are the fries for their kids meals and she says to me "you didn't order kids meals" I said yes I did. I even have their juice that the meal comes with to prove it. She sighs rolls her eyes and tells the other worker, " here you explain it to her" he then tells me the same thing as she did. I told him I ordered the kids meals showed them my receipt and told him that the other guy told me there were no side order or corn dog dog bites anyway. He tries to tell me it is in the menu. I asked him to show me n he could not. He says. You did not order the kids meals but ill bring you some fries. Ughhhh. He then brings me one order of fries even though I paid for two meals. Soooooo not together. Get your info in sync. Also I asked for ranch for my wings cause they came with none and they said 50 cents! For first ranch little container!!! Really!!! Food was yummy but I was not impressed. Mostly because I was so annoyed at the way they handled my situtaion and their lack of knowledge on what they serve.

Usually go to the downtown San Jose smoke eaters, came here to check it out and I must say... Best food and best service I've ever had at any smoke eaters. All employee's were extremely nice and acknowledged customers. Bartenders were awesome and made our experience worth while. Will definitely come back to this facility

Horrible!!! I've been to other smoke eaters and I was expecting the same quality service, but I was surely disappointed. 5 of us sat at the bar and decided to grab some wings to eat. We each ordered separately and decided to cash out our tabs. My buddy ordered 5 wings and a drink and I ordered the same exact thing. I ordered my food at 6:12 and waited and waited and waited. Everyone else around me got their food promptly while I had to wait. The young guy behind the bar left his area and went over to the service window. I finally got his attention and told him I never received my food. He said ok let me check with the kitchen. So it took him another 10 minutes to tell me that the kitchen had been messing up. By this time I wanted a refund because it was already 6:47 and I hadn't gotten any food. Watching this guy trying to work the cash register was mind boggling! He had to get on the phone to call someone to process a refund. Not once did I see him ask anyone in the restaurant or the kitchen for help. I told him whatever is faster a refund or the chicken will be fine. By the time he finished the refund it was 7:10, almost an hour of waiting trying to get this resolved. Not once did it seem like anyone was in charge and it didn't seem like there was a manager on duty. It's hard to believe that this location belongs to the same chain. A couple of things need to change in order for this place to run efficiently. 1. A manger on duty at all times 2. Train your people to run a cash register. 3. Have your staff be professional 4. Take responsibility and not blame the kitchen for messing up 5. Hire people who know how to multi task or with food service experience 6. Anticipate for the dinner rush 7. Have a system for ordering. Either at the bar or at the counter. I'm sure there are other things, but if this place doesn't change the way it runs its operation then they shouldn't be called Smoke Eaters.... They should call it Piece of Crap chicken with horrible service.

Awesome selection of beers on tap. The wings are big and meaty, much larger than wingstop.

I was dragged into this place by a friend. The menu was not particularly exciting. I convinced myself to try 3 chicken tenders. Then I tried to order a lager but when I looked at the blackboard with all the beverages, I could not see a single lager. Everything was ales, stouts and IPAs - either lagers are out of style in California or people don't drink the most standard type of beers anymore. Since I didn't have too many choices, I hate IPAs and anything dark, I ordered a cider that was actually good. The tenders came and they were coated in some crispy batter and they were definitely not "tender". I tasted them and they were not at all inviting, rather dry and probably fried in some saturated oil. All in all the dinner was way below my expectations and definitely not worth the money. Aside from the food, the place is also very rowdy, packed with 49er fans who scream as if they own the place. SmokeEaters earns 2 stars at best.

This place blows from the food to the people that work there and there bad attitudes. We stopped in before a movie to try it out. The guy behind the register did just that I had to tell him are you going to take our order come on now you can't be that dumb. The order came out and yea they did charge extra for some ranch at least at wing stop you get it free. The wings were not good at all and that BBQ sauce was gross. My dad makes better sauce then this place I did not even finish my food and the fries were just as bad. Another thing to employees pull your damn pants up my friends and I do not want to see your underwear put a frickin belt on before you let some crack slip. Another thing stop waking around trying to be all hard you are at work nobody has time for that put a smile on your face once in awhile. This is good place to bring your kids and remind them how important it is to stay in school so they don't end up in a hell hole like this place!

I actually liked the ambience of SmokeEaters right next to Mission College. Plenty of TV's and local team memorabilia like any good sports bar. However, I usually judge a place on the merits of their food. Not even the ambience could give this place an extra star. I don't know if there is a way to explain how dry the chicken was that we ordered for a work lunch. You know the kind of chicken that you pull with your teeth and it still doesn't want to be torn off? The kind of chicken that has this brownish color characteristic of chicken that is either old or dried? The kind of chicken that as you chew repeatedly, you wonder when you can actually swallow it? No amount of sauce could save the chicken strips I had. Unfortunately for SmokeEaters, my fried chicken palate is tuned to the key of Kyochon, the beginning and end of all fried chicken, as far as I'm concerned. But frankly, I would much rather go Popeye's before I would ever consider eating at SmokeEaters again. As for a place that is considerably better, The Smoking Pig has a much more tender and deliciously seasoned BBQ chicken.

Great food and honest staff! I left my purse there on a Sunday night. Called and spoke to Josh on Monday morning. He unlocked the door before they opened and returned my purse. Cash & credit cards all there! I'm a fan!!

Service is not so well. Employees can more polite, curtious and professional. Lets talk about their food. I came here with two co-workers and ordered some sandwiches along with 10 atomic wings to share. Their sandwich and fries are disgusting, has absolutely no flavor what so ever. On the other hand the wings are average. I remember this being a lot better back in the day or even at other locations. I would come back only as a last resort.

Figured we give this place a try for the Jets game tonight. Place was packed by 6 so we ordered take out. Mango habanero wings were soggy with too much sauce. Not very hot either. Tried the atomic. Same- soggy and tasted like sweet n sour sauce. Not hot at all! Fries were soggy too. Gross Never go back again.

When we got there, the place is pretty new so of course everything looks nice and clean. I noticed the girl at the counter looked familiar, I had a similar issue with her at the Cupertino location so I knew it was her, piercing on left side of her bottom lip. I go to order, tell her I want mini corn dogs and chicken tenders which are from the kid menu. When we go to finish the order, I forgot to order the kids drinks so I told her apple juice. She told me I did not tell her I wanted kids meals. Well....my two boys who re 5 and 6 are standing right next to me, I told her I don't see mini corn dogs and chicken tenders on the menu except for the kids section so I was pretty confused when she said that. Then after I told her I wanted the kids option she then read the order back to me and still didn't take off the other selections. I had to remind her that the kids options replace whatever she had originally entered. She goes 'Oh ok I get it now.'. Um ok. So before when I had ordered my selection, I see that salad is a substitute for fries, I asked if I could just have it as a caeser salad. She told me that she can do it this time but when it gets busy she can't. Again, I was confused, salad is an option so what's the problem? I was just annoyed by the lack of common sense here. Luckily we had just by a few minutes beat the rush so our food was fresh but my husband did say his fries were gross. Overall, the beer selection seems to be the highlight, the wings look good too but we'll see next time if I will try, if there is a next time.
